🌟 Day 9 of #90DaysOfCloudOps 🌟 Today, I embarked on a journey to create an automated bash script for backing up log files. This experience has been both educational and rewarding, as it has deepened my understanding of automation and scripting in cloud operations. 🔧 Automated Log File Backup 🔧 Script Overview: Developed a bash script to automatically back up log files in .tar format every 2 minutes. Skill Development: Enhanced my skills in writing automation scripts, a crucial task for any cloud engineer. Key Feature: The auto backup functionality ensures that activity logs are consistently maintained, which is vital for monitoring and troubleshooting. 🚀 Project Upscaling 🚀 To scale this project, we can: Deliver Backups to S3: Store backup files in an S3 bucket for reliable and scalable storage. Use Ansible for deploying this solution across larger environments, ensuring consistency and efficiency. Automating log backups is essential for maintaining a robust cloud infrastructure, and today’s learning has equipped me with valuable skills to enhance this aspect of cloud operations. Stay tuned for more insights as we continue this #90DaysOfCloudOps journey! #CloudComputing #BashScripting #Automation #LogBackup #CloudOps #TechLearning

Yesterday, we started how to create INFRASTRUCTURE AS CODE using Terraform at the ongoing DevOps Engineering training at Tech365. Participants are able to create servers, network and other configuration on cloud platform using code instead of manual setup. The benefits is that, it is 1. Automated and saves time. 2. It is repeatable as the code can be reused anytime similar provision is needed. 3. It can be updated to add new features. 4. It is reliable as it isn't prone to human error. They were able to setup virtual private cloud (VPC), subnet, security groups, internet gateway, route table association in minutes. In subsequent classes, we will provision Elastic compute cloud (EC2) with userdata to install Docker, Jenkins, Java, Maven and more. #DevOps #devopsengineer #tech365

12/12 ✅ AWS Certified DevOps Engineer - Professional - THE FINAL BOSS CONQUERED! This exam was the ultimate test of endurance, with brain running at 100% CPU utilization the entire time and the exam questions longer than the terraform state files. Last year I remember quoting "I aim to finish all the certs this year" under my short term career milestone. Despite going through hours of tutorials and practice exams, I kept postponing scheduling the actual tests, hesitating to get out the comfort zone. "Maybe I need more prep" was my goto excuse. But sometimes all you need is a "git push" into the deep end! :P Hot topics for the exam : Monitoring and Logging (CloudWatch, X-Ray), CI/CD pipelines(CodeSuite), Infrastructure as Code (CloudFormation, CDK), High Availability, DR Strategies, Configuration Management - Systems Manager, Security and Compliance Automation, Container Orchestration (ECS, EKS). Once again, cheers to Jon Bonso - Tutorials Dojo , Stéphane Maarek for the best content for certification prep out there! And with that, the season wraps up. Stay tuned—there’s plenty more exciting things on the horizon! $ git status aws_cert_journey On branch master 12 certifications tracked All certifications synchronized Final commit: DevOps Professional https://lnkd.in/gwsmJnEi Learn and Stay Curious! 😁 Amazon Web Services (AWS) awstronaut #AWS #AmazonWebServices #DevOps #CloudComputing #AWSCertification #CloudArchitect
