Asking this to all the Founders & PMs out there - How do you go about having customer conversations and interviews? Before going in and building anything, I am sure you would do a Smoke Test, where you try to find out if the audience you are targeting is even interested in what you'll be building. Will they buy it? Oftentimes, you have to read between the lines instead of taking what users are saying at face value. Would love to hear about your experience and approach to this, and what was your biggest learning? . . . #startup #founders #PM #Productmanagement #startupfounders #fintech #AI #customers

At LOGICWIND, We're a team of passionate designers and developers who love building digital products for our clients and partners, that are not only functional but also a joy to use. At BrahmVeda Ventures Private Limited, as a venture studio we are building AI first ventures with early stage founders. And I absolutely love my job – there's nothing quite like the thrill of taking a raw idea, refining it, and watching it evolve into something amazing. But here's the thing: my brain is a non-stop idea factory. Seriously, it's always churning out new concepts, day and night. I know that I simply can't bring all these ideas to life myself, so I've decided to share them with you on my blog, I hope these product concepts will inspire you, entertain you, or maybe even spark the next great innovation. Here is the first idea, hope you like it! https://lnkd.in/dNxAAEZy #idea #startup #AI #technology

The June edition of Startup Spotlight from UNLEASH has landed and this month we spoke to Metaview CEO Siadhal Magos about bringing AI to the ‘black box’ of recruitment. As Siadhal explains during the interview, data and insights from candidate interviews can often be patchy and uninformative, leading to sub-optimal decisions. "The conversations that occur as part of the hiring process are the most determining, the most important part of deciding who to hire. "And yet, even the best companies on the plant in many cases have very little idea what is happening in those interviews." Find out more, including the next strategic goals for Metaview and its key message to HR leaders, in the full interview only with UNLEASH. #HR #Hrtechnology #UNLEASHeditorial #startup #hrstartup #AI #recruitment #talentacquisition

Navigating the Critical Failure Points from Shower Ideation to a Meaningful Startup Path (AI assisted) Part 1/2 The journey from a shower idea to a meaningful startup is fraught with potential failure points. One of the most significant decisions early-stage founders face is the existential choice between building a product and hoping customers will come or engaging in problem/customer discovery to ensure the product addresses a real need. This article won’t focus on convincing you to choose the latter; instead, it delves into the critical paths of failure once a founder has decided to embark on the journey of customer discovery. ### 1. **Choosing a Specific Target for Interviews** The first critical failure point is selecting and declaring one specific target for your interviews. This might seem simple, but it’s a fundamental decision that sets the course for all subsequent efforts. Take, for example, an EdTech startup. It could potentially solve problems for teachers, administrators, parents, or even employers. However, the founder must choose one segment for their first round of interviews. The results of these interviews need to be measured against the expectations set for that specific group. This focus doesn’t mean the entire business model will center on just one stakeholder forever, but it’s essential to complete one full loop with a singular focus. Ash Maurya’s Lean Canvas is a valuable tool for honing in on one customer segment, but other methods such as mentorship sessions, chatbots, or even spreadsheets with rankings can also help founders zero in on their target. The key is to start with a clear target and stick to it for the initial discovery phase. ### 2. **No One to Talk To** The second point of failure is a common psychological hurdle: the fear or belief that there’s no one to talk to. This can paralyze founders, preventing them from reaching out and conducting interviews. Overcoming this fear is crucial because it sets the foundation for all subsequent customer discovery activities. ### 3. **Talking to the Wrong People** Another failure point occurs when founders conduct interviews with a different group than initially targeted. This isn’t about making a strategic pivot based on new insights; it’s an objective failure to adhere to the original plan. While early interviews can be a bit flexible—perhaps used to overcome initial fear or refine interview techniques—there comes a point, usually after the first 10 interviews, where sticking to the target segment becomes critical. This must be addressed before moving on to refining techniques or analyzing data. ### 4. **Poor Interview Technique** Once the right people are being interviewed, the next potential pitfall is technique. Leading questions, cognitive biases, and poor interview strategies can all skew results and lead to false conclusions. To avoid this, founders should read resources like *The Mom Test* by Rob Fitzpatrick, TBC….

It’s about time I share! I founded an AI startup 🤓 With Pandria.com we’re tackling a familiar problem: You’ve likely felt the collective annoyed sigh when it’s time for the semi-annual performance review cycle. You log into some system, you push buttons, people get reminders to fill in forms about you. Everyone waits until the last minute, then rage-types haphazard insights from the past two weeks. The resulting ‘growth conversation’ is generic at best, usually awkward, and biased at worst. That culture of ongoing, actionable, constructive feedback that is supposed to feed professional growth lives only in the wishful minds at the People department. I think we’ve cracked this 😀 We’re onboarding partners keen to test our solution, so I'd love to tell you more! (In fact, I can’t shut up about this - ask anyone I know.) So go ahead, give Pandria a follow, and do reach out if this problem strikes a chord. Excited to introduce the all-star band soon 🔥

Every week, I skim through over 6 Customer Success-related newsletters and podcasts from your favorite experts in the CS field. This week, I decided to share what I learned with YOU. Catch up below: 🍀 Clear Communication: In interviews, be direct and avoid implying things without saying them outright. Clarity can improve your chances of being hired. 🍀 Confidence Matters: Watch your language; avoid words like "kind of" or "but" as they can undermine your confidence. Use words that convey certainty and conviction. 🍀 Ask Smart Questions: Use questions strategically to fill in gaps and sound like an expert, even in areas where you may not have deep expertise. 🍀 Personal Branding: Your personal brand is what others say about you when you're not around. It's about being consistent with your values, advocating for yourself, and promoting your wins. 🍀 Relationship Building: Focus on building lasting relationships with key decision-makers in customer organizations. Understand their needs, and challenges, and be a trusted advisor. 🍀 Continuous Learning and Improvement: Even with experience, the job market can be tough. Seek help, whether through coaching or other resources, to improve your resume, networking, and interview skills. Another thing that made the news rounds this week is AI, ai, A.I, a.i, Artificial Intelligence, and more #AI. Tech giants are having the best time with AI as their USP or NOT 🤣. P.S., I learned the concept of personal branding with insights from Jeff Bezos and Natasha Evans. Share your thoughts on the AI.
