(again) 🎉 This time it’s different, working at a senior level I am filled with gratitude and pride for the incredible experiences and growth I’ve encountered. 🌟 Reflecting on One Year at Accenture in India ! 🌟 🎓 As a fresh graduate, stepping into the professional world was both exciting and challenging. The transition from college to corporate life had its share of hiccups, but I was determined to learn and adapt. Thanks to Accenture’s training programs, I found my footing. 🚀 Work Journey : In my role, curiosity fueled my drive. I wanted to understand every aspect, learn new skills, and contribute meaningfully. Yes, there were initial challenges, but with unwavering support—from both my Team Leads and my amazing team members—I soared beyond expectations. 🙌 Team Bonding : Beyond work, our team shared laughter, camaraderie, and memorable moments. Team lunches, outings, and late-night collaborations became the fabric of our journey. And here’s the twist: My initial fear of our Team Leads? Totally unfounded! Turns out they’re sweeter than a freshly brewed cup of coffee—jovial, friendly, and approachable. 🤗 🌟 Personal Growth : This year has been transformative. I’ve honed my skills, but more importantly, I’ve learned about resilience, adaptability, and the power of collaboration. Accenture isn’t just a workplace; it’s a community that fosters growth. 🔍 Discovering My Passion : My Team Leads played a pivotal role in shaping my journey. They recognized my interest in the field of databases and guided me toward working extensively on the DB side. Now, I’m following my passion, all thanks to their mentorship. 🙏 Gratitude to Mentors : I owe a debt of gratitude to my seniors who helped me tremendously. Starting at 0 percent, their guidance and support have brought me to 70 percent (I’m not perfect like them—yet! 29 years and counting! I was asked to share my career journey at Accenture on a call with my new team yesterday. Because I'm a visual learner, I thought it would be fun to truly illustrate the path I've followed. So... clearly my journey has not included creative design... but you get the point. Everyone's journey is unique. A great piece of advice I received along the way: Think about the role, not the title. And I learned early on to trust my instincts. Not every role will be your "dream role," but strive to learn from every experience. Someone recapped it perfectly yesterday: - Are you having fun? - Are you learning? - Is there an incentive to keep going on that path—or do you need to find a new path? And sometimes you're still having fun, but it's time to take a new path anyway. This photo was taken almost two years ago. It marked the beginning of a new era for me, not only because I started working at a giant company like Accenture, but also because it was my first job where I had to speak a language I barely knew. I had never formally studied English; everything I know, I learned on my own through social interactions, online games, and watching lots of TV series and documentaries in English. I knew everything would be different—a completely new adventure filled with anxiety, just like when I left Brazil for the first time, having never flown before or even left my home state. I became a new person, more mature, and I attribute that to this journey—a journey full of learning, with interactions with amazing individuals, and many lessons on how to deal with people, as well as what to avoid. I am very grateful for the almost two years I spent at Accenture and for all the experience I gained there. Gratitude is the right word to describe my feelings.
