We all dislike words such as Tenant Unit Complex Can we please retire the words ‘supplier’ and ‘vendor’? Our multifamily events (and more) wouldn’t exist without the MILLIONS of dollars our partners put back into our industry. Walk through your house and do a quick survey of the amazing swag you’ve gotten at events. Or the experiences you’ve had. Carrie Underwood concert, anyone? Or the amazing meals you’ve shared at places like Nobu, French Laundry and more. And on a more serious note: The dollars they’ve contributed to lobbying efforts that benefit all of us? The money donated to worthwhile causes such as hurricane relief? The furniture and housewares donated to help people get back on their feet? Bye bye vendor, hello partner.

Hurricane Helene recovery update: East Tennessee How to help our region 👇🏼 10/7/24 DONATIONS/SUPPLIES Every place that takes them is inundated. Unless you’re answering a specific need, let’s hold off on donations for a while. This can help volunteers redirect their time from sorting donations to more pressing needs. VOLUNTEERS Churches and schools throughout the region need your help organizing and distributing donations. They need delivery drivers with four-wheel drive. They need people to help neighbors clean houses, cut trees, remove debris. Everyone is exhausted and they need your help. HEAVY EQUIPMENT If you or anyone you know has a way to get earth-moving equipment into these neighborhoods, let me know. I can help coordinate. Roan Mountain is one example. Spruce Pine is another. People are trapped due to trees down, large debris, bridges washed out. We need help clearing paths. MONETARY DONATIONS Cleanup and rebuilding will continue in the months and years to come. This is where the biggest financial need is and will remain. Here are several reputable organizations in East Tennessee you can donate to.
