Car-centric #planning has ruined the #walkability and the ability to ride #bikes in many #cities in developing nations. Because this approach to #transportation has been largely imported from former (and maybe some current) colonial powers, it could be viewed as a continuing or lingering form of #colonialism. 🚙🚙🚙🚳🚷😡 Does this create an opportunity for those who seek to bring back #walking and #cycling? #Motonormativity can be a stubborn force, but is it a match for anti-colonialism or #nationalism? 🤔
