A team of ophthalmologists, Jessica Gard, MD, Marc Ohlhausen, MD, Steven Yeh, MD, FASRS, with the University of Nebraska Medical Center - UNMC reviewed the research revealing how a multidisciplinary approach to care can benefit patients with uveitis and ease the burden on physicians. The way physicians, patients, and the medical community view collaboration in healthcare has evolved in recent decades, with a growing focus on a multidisciplinary care team (MDT) approach to achieve a more holistic perspective.
