- AI wordt onze ondergang! - Tut tut, niet zo somber. Waarom denk je dat? - Deepak Chopra de Verschrikkelijke is into AI! 🤓 Deepak Chopra on why he believes artificial intelligence could be a "spiritual guide" | CBS A legend in well-being, Deepak Chopra has been at the intersection of science and spirituality for almost half a century, meeting world-class leaders and celebrities alike and becoming a best-selling author with his dozens of books. Born and raised in New Delhi, India, Chopra moved to the United States in his 20s, beginning his career as an endocrinologist before growing into a prominent figure in the New Age movement who became famous for teaching meditation to household names like Oprah and Michael Jackson. In his 95th book, "Digital Dharma," Chopra explores his beliefs about technology and spirituality — like why he believes artificial intelligence is the key to personal growth. He told "CBS Saturday Morning" that while some people may prefer to focus on the "doomsday scenarios" associated with the technology, he wants to look at the positives. "You can use AI for self-reflection. You can use AI for research as a research assistant, you can use AI as a health coach, both physical and mental, but even more important as a spiritual guide," Chopra, 77, said. "You have access to all the spiritual luminaries of humanity since the dawn of history." https://lnkd.in/eaGEGRTs Meditation can be harmful – and can even make mental health problems worse | The Conversation The first recorded evidence for this, found in India, is over 1,500 years old. The Dharmatrāta Meditation Scripture, written by a community of Buddhists, describes various practices and includes reports of symptoms of depression and anxiety that can occur after meditation. It also details cognitive anomalies associated with episodes of psychosis, dissociation and depersonalisation (when people feel the world is “unreal”). https://lnkd.in/egy7ytY8 #AI #genAI #LLMs #DeepakChopra #fake #spirituality #charlatanerie #xrisk #doomsday #scenario #newage #guru #scammer #swindler

THE GUIDED MEDITATION SERIES CONTINUES . This is the third guided meditation I have created thanks to Milton Erickson's (1901-1980) famous language model. . It is a 13 minutes audio to listen when you are alone and your attention is not required. . It is in Italian, though, English version will arrive. . This specific meditation is helpful for those seeking energies and calmness before an hard day of study or work. . There is a part where a gentle induction is given to resist other people's provoking attitudes, something that, unfortunately, is present on job places... . I hope you enjoy it and I wait for your feedbacks! #meditation #coaching #guidedmeditation #coaching #neurolinguisticprogramming #nlp

In Japanese, 'kachi sozo' means "value creation," a concept that deeply resonates with me through my practice of Nichiren's Buddhism. While I once associated value with material possessions and status, unknowingly my focus turned to creating value in every environment or in any situation I encounter. In a world increasingly driven by AI, a genuine contemplation on whether our daily activities contribute positively to our surroundings highlights a crucial aspect of mindfulness and self-awareness. By incorporating principles of value creation into our daily life and interactions, are we not enriching our own experiences and also fostering a more compassionate and purposeful existence. #ValueCreation #NichirensBuddhism #AI #Reflection Must read : https://lnkd.in/g52Y-5PU

𝘽𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝙈𝙞𝙣𝙙𝙛𝙪𝙡 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝘼𝙄 In the race to adopt #AI in our business and work, we should not forget to be #mindful. By bringing mindfulness to our AI interactions, we can foster a more aware, balanced, and purposeful existence. In our fast-paced digital world, integrating AI thoughtfully can enhance productivity while keeping us grounded. Here's is small video by 𝗦𝘄𝗮𝗺𝗶 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗺𝗮𝘆𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 sharing wisdom on 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀: 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 means bringing your mind where your hands are, fostering complete awareness of the present moment both externally and internally, with acceptance and trust. Be aware of what you are doing while you are doing it. Notice your thoughts and gently return to the present activity. Observe your emotions without trying to deepen or push them away, then refocus on the current moment. What happens when Yuval Harari, who meditates for 2 hours a day, discusses with Jon Kabat-Zinn (who also happens to be my meditation teacher) about AI, mindfulness and the future of life? I particularly engaged with the definition of consciousness, which Harari defines as the capacity to suffer, which in turn brings ethics into the equation and separates us from AIs. Here's what I took away: 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗰𝗶𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗦𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿: What sets us humans apart from AI is the capacity to suffer, giving us ethical value, since our ability to feel pain and suffer shapes our decisions and actions. 𝗔𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝘂𝗲 𝗦𝘂𝗽𝗲𝗿𝗽𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿: Meditation invites us to see beyond thought and realize that thinking isn’t uniquely ours, but phenomena that come and go. “Human awareness trumps the superpower of thought.", allowing us to live more fully in reality. 𝗦𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗕𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗼 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝘁𝗵: Silence and boredom, though often uncomfortable, is essential for reaching deeper truths. “When you constantly try to say only the most important things, you never say anything really important.” 𝗘𝗻𝗴𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝘃𝘀. 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: It’s very easy to engage the mind, but it’s very difficult to engage the mind with reality - and AI amplifies this challenge manipulating emotions to maximize engagement, pulling us away from the present moment. What if AIs could optimize for engagement with reality vs engagement with content for the sole purpose of creating profit? 𝗦𝘂𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗶𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗷𝗲𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹𝗶𝘁𝘆: Suffering isn’t caused by pain itself but by our mind’s rejection of it. “Suffering is the rejection of reality… Pain is just a sensation, but suffering comes when the mind says, ‘I don’t want this to be here.’” In other words, pain is inevitable, suffering is optional. 𝗠𝗲𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝘀 𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝗻𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗴 𝗛𝘂𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆: It's extremely important to stay connected to our analog, human experience amidst the digital world. “We are miraculous beings... If we could learn to inhabit each moment with integrity, we might find balance with the digital world.” 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗱 𝗕𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝘆, 𝗗𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗴𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗜𝗱𝗲𝗼𝗹𝗼𝗴𝗶𝗲𝘀: Although ideologies divide us, our biology remains the same. We all share the same biology regardless of ideology.” If only we could see beyond mental divisions and connect with our common humanity, by focusing more and honoring the body. 𝗘𝗴𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 "𝗟𝗶𝗸𝗲" 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁𝗼𝗻: The "Like" button on social media is no different than the ancient habit of judging experiences: “I like it, I don’t like it.” Meditation is like disconnecting the ‘like’ button in our mind, fostering non-attachment to judgments or external praise. Born a prince, Siddhartha Gautama abandoned his luxurious life after witnessing human suffering. Seeking enlightenment, he practiced asceticism but found it extreme. Meditating under a Bodhi tree, he attained enlightenment and became the Buddha. His compassionate legacy continues to inspire millions worldwide. The Buddha's teachings, although ancient, still deeply impact lives today. His emphasis on mindfulness and meditation helps people cultivate inner peace and manage stress. The Four Noble Truths offer a framework to understand and address suffering, while the Eightfold Path provides a practical guide to ethical and fulfilling living. Buddhist principles promote compassion, self-awareness, and acceptance, empowering individuals to navigate life's challenges with resilience and find lasting happiness. #zen #buddha #nirvana #meditation https://lnkd.in/g6-4BuDG

Meditating LLM!!! In our fast-paced world, finding ways to enhance concentration and focus has become more critical than ever. Many of us turn to meditation to train our minds, allowing us to concentrate on the present moment and achieve a state of heightened awareness. This ancient practice teaches us to filter out distractions and hone in on what truly matters. Interestingly, there's a parallel in the world of technology. Just as humans use meditation to increase concentration, large language models (LLMs) are meticulously scoped to concentrate on specific tasks. Here's how the analogy plays out: 🧘 Meditation for Humans: Clearing the Mind: Meditation involves clearing the mind of distractions, helping us focus better. Mindfulness: By being mindful, we can pay closer attention to the task at hand. Improved Cognitive Function: Regular practice enhances our ability to concentrate, remember, and make decisions. 🤖 Scoping for LLMs: Data Filtering: Just as we clear our minds, LLMs filter through vast amounts of data to find relevant information. Task-Specific Training: LLMs are trained on specific datasets to excel in particular areas, akin to focusing on a single meditation object. Enhanced Performance: By concentrating on a defined scope, LLMs deliver more accurate and relevant outputs. Both processes aim to reduce noise and increase efficiency, leading to better outcomes in their respective domains. Whether you're meditating to improve personal focus or developing an LLM to streamline tasks, the goal remains the same: achieving clarity and precision. Let's embrace the power of focus, be it through meditation or technology, to reach new heights of productivity and innovation! #Meditation #MachineLearning #Focus #Productivity #Technology #AI #Mindfulness #Innovation

I've FINALLY made the online course version of my free guide to learning hypnosis and meditation and you can access it here. - https://lnkd.in/eFSb4432 Oooh, and in case you are like.... what guide? What does this have in it? - It has these things in it: - 6 short videos teaching a deeply relaxing hypnotic breathing technique - short audios to help you while you learn and practice the breathing technique (there's a 'talk-in' to relaxing your body and a series of 'counting' ones) - an audio hypnosis track (20 mins) - written guide to speaking hypnotically, plus examples of written scripts, so that you can create you own hypnosis audio track in your own voice or the voice of a trusted person - 11 short videos teaching different aspects of hypnosis / meditation and helping you through particular challenges that may come up for you So many people have told me they've found this a really helpful introduction to meditation and hypnosis. It's detailed and thorough, and covers a lot of different 'ways in' and approaches, and at the same time it's clear and each individual teaching video is pretty short (they're all between 2 and 8 minutes).
