NEOM’s Board of Directors has officially launched Sindalah, the first physical destination within the visionary NEOM project, marking a significant step in Saudi Arabia's push to become a luxury tourism hub under #SaudiVision2030. Originally announced by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman in December 2022, the opening of Sindalah is a milestone achievement, transforming the concept into reality after an extensive two-year development. Located five kilometers off NEOM’s coastline in the #RedSea, Sindalah spans 840,000 square meters and combines luxury with sustainability, cutting-edge technology, and a Mediterranean-inspired design by yachting architecture firm Luca Dini. The island destination will accommodate up to 2,400 guests per day by 2028 and aims to support NEOM’s broader tourism ambitions by creating around 3,500 jobs. As the gateway to the Red Sea, Sindalah is positioned to attract yacht owners from #Europe, #SaudiArabia, and the #Gulf. It boasts an 86-berth marina with super-yacht docking facilities, a yacht club designed by Stefano Ricci, and an array of yacht management services. Guests will find over 38 dining venues led by renowned chefs, a luxury retail promenade, and an exclusive Beach Club offering day-to-night experiences. Sindalah’s surrounding waters are home to a rich marine ecosystem with over 1,100 fish species, 45 of which are unique to NEOM, and more than 300 coral species. Sustainability has been integral to Sindalah’s development, preserving its natural habitat while inviting guests to explore the vibrant marine life. In addition to the marina and culinary experiences, Sindalah’s Beachfront Golf Club is poised to attract enthusiasts with its 6,474-yard par-70 course and unique nine-hole setups. Accommodations will range from upscale rooms and villas to serviced luxury apartments, offering a variety of options for high-end travelers. Nadhmi Al-Nasr, NEOM’s CEO, emphasized Sindalah as a “proud chapter” in the NEOM story, illustrating the transformative power of Vision 2030 under Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman’s leadership. Sindalah will serve as the first of several NEOM developments, showcasing NEOM’s dedication to redefining tourism through sustainability, technology, and unique experiences. Magna, part of NEOM’s sustainable portfolio, spans 120 km and includes 12 unique destinations: Leyja, Epicon, Siranna, Utamo, Norlana, Aquellum, Zardun, Xaynor, Elanan, Gideri, Treyam, and Jaumur. Abu Dhabi's hospitality sector is undergoing a significant transformation, driven by strategic investments and the ambitious Tourism Strategy 2030.
