🌟 Calling all passionate training providers! 🌟 At SCCU we believe in supporting our customers every step of their apprenticeship journey. Recently, one of my valued customers expressed interest in a different apprenticeship that we currently don't offer. It happens, not every provider can cover every standard it’s impossible. But fear not! I’m committed to finding the perfect apprenticsehip for my loyal customer even if it means looking beyond our own offerings. I personally reached out to another provider, hoping to forge a collaborative partnership for the benefit of our customer. However, i was disappointed by the lack of enthusiasm and gratitude for the opportunity. I firmly believe that there's room for everyone in the realm of apprenticeship training. Building off the success of National Apprenticeship Week, the 1st Youth Apprenticeship Week (YAW) which is taking place all this week, is a nationwide celebration that shines a light on the advantages and significance of Registered Apprenticeship program opportunities for young individuals aged 16–24. Today was an eventful day here in Kansas, starting with our Monthly Dinner Bell call featuring Cynthia Walker as our guest speaker, discussing youth apprenticeship. Cynthia is a key figure in the USDOL expansion initiative of Registered Youth Apprenticeship (RYA) programs, promoting youth apprenticeships nationwide. Following the insightful discussion, I had the privilege of attending a Youth Apprenticeship Lunch and Learn session, organized by Build A Pro Foundation and led by Ashley Jarvis and Amanda Jarvis. This session provided valuable insights into the world of youth apprenticeships, highlighting their benefits for both participants and employers. Here's a brief overview of what was covered: -Understanding the fundamentals of youth apprenticeships, including their blend of hands-on training and classroom learning. -Exploring the advantages youth apprenticeships offer to young individuals, such as skills development and career exploration. -Showcasing the value of youth apprenticeships for employers, including access to a motivated workforce and enhanced productivity. The session was filled with engaging discussions and a shared commitment to nurturing the next generation of skilled professionals.
