Just when I thought that November was looking quieter than normal in the apprenticeships world the expected "boom" has kicked in - 3 x HR/ People Professional Level 5 Sign ups 2 x Early Years Upskills -Current employees looking to upskill their qualifications through apprenticeships. 1 x Recruitment Level 3 Placement 1 x Warehouse Operative Placement 1 x Business Admin Level 3 Placement And 3 more vacancies with some excellent canddiates being interviewed this week. And all this lined up before November has been started. I say it often, but the companies I work with are truly amazing at identifying staff development opportunities and also opening up opportunities for brand new apprentice to start their careers. We are now hitting peak for an projected increase in amazing candidates. The differences between Internship, Practicum/Field Work (Praktek Kerja Lapangan - PKL), and Apprenticeship: A. Internship: ·    Internship is a training program undertaken by students or graduates in a professional work environment. ·    The primary purpose of an internship is to provide work experience and introduce the participants to the professional world. ·    Internships are usually temporary, with a varying duration, from a few weeks to several months. ·    Interns receive guidance and supervision from a mentor or supervisor at the workplace. ·    Internships can be done before or after graduation and may be a part of the academic curriculum. B.   Practicum/Field Work (Praktek Kerja Lapangan - PKL): ·    PKL is a mandatory program for students to fulfill academic requirements. ·    The main objective of PKL is to provide practical experience and apply the knowledge acquired in the classroom. ·    PKL is typically conducted over a shorter period, around 1-3 months. ·    PKL participants receive guidance and evaluation from both the educational institution and the host organization. ·    PKL is an integral part of the academic curriculum. C.   Apprenticeship: ·    Apprenticeship is a structured training program that combines classroom learning and on-the-job practice. ·    The primary aim of apprenticeship is to develop specific skills and competencies in a particular field. ·    Apprenticeships usually last for a longer duration, up to several years. ·    Apprentices receive a wage or compensation during the training program. ·    Apprenticeship involves a formal contract between the participant, the company, and the training institution.
