Will AI ever replace Software Engineers? Yes and no, hear me out: Even if you train AI with all the data in the world, best practices, techniques, etc.   It will always hit one major roadblock: The Problem Statement. The ability to define problems clearly and turn them into actionable steps is deeply human. It’s about context, creativity, and understanding. And guess what’s the problem here? For AI to get context and understanding it needs good input, which is another deeply human skill. Garbage in, garbage out — that’s how AI works. Even the smartest AI needs well-defined, thoughtful inputs to produce anything meaningful. It can’t magically solve poorly framed problems or navigate ambiguity like we can. It can’t talk to the people a human needs to talk to in order to get all the answers. So, the future isn’t about choosing between humans and AI. It’s about leveraging both, together.
