The project is being carried out under the FEPW.01.03 action "Circular Economy in SMEs – Stage I – Development of a GOZ Business Model – Transformation" and is co-financed by the European Union. As part of this project, GRAFS will develop a modern business model based on the principles of the circular economy (GOZ). The project includes an analysis of current production processes, the identification of areas where changes can be implemented, and the development of a strategy for implementing new solutions. The project is targeted at micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) operating in Eastern Poland. The goal of the project is to transform GRAFS's operations towards a circular economy, enabling more efficient resource use, waste reduction, and increased competitiveness in the market. By implementing this project, GRAFS will develop a new, sustainable business model that will reduce operational costs and increase production efficiency. The project will also bring environmental benefits by reducing waste and utilizing resources more efficiently. This funding for the GOZ Business Model is the first step, and it opens the door to getting up to 3.5 million PLN (815 150,00 EUR) for fully rolling out the model. Project Value: 82,781.00. PLN (19 279,69 EUR) Contribution from European Funds: 82,781.00. PLN (19 279,69 EUR) In summary, this funding will help us meet new market and regulatory requirements, improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance our image in the eyes of customers and partners. Currently, this waste is either incinerated or landfilled. I recently finished a client engagement with an innovative, well-funded Series A startup that produces #carbon-negative building materials.   The client offers: - Significant #environmental advantages compared to traditional options. - High-quality materials that match or exceed the performance of established products. - Versatility across various industries eager for innovative hashtag#materials. While some forward-thinking customers see the benefits and will pay a premium, they are far from the majority. Why? - Most companies can’t absorb the additional cost in their build of materials. - Many customers are only willing to pay a slight premium in today’s economic climate. How do sustainable companies thrive and defend premium pricing? - Steer clear of commoditization. - Highlight unique differentiators that deliver real value and savings. In my client’s case, they: - Offer custom solutions that no competitor can: non-standard dimensions, enhanced strength, and unique features. - Deliver outstanding customer service that sets them apart from commodity providers. - Guarantee consistent pricing and reliable supply. Your story about environmental benefits is important but doesn't have to be the lede. Focus on features and benefits that customers will pay for today. Treat environmental impact as a wonderful extra - a “gift with purchase.”

For any business to be truly sustainable it must be profitable, environmentally responsible and have a positive impact on the people that engage with it, whether they be customers, employees, family members or neighbours. A sustainable business will exhibit all the signs of tight management and it will have short, medium and long term goals. The business will be measuring its progress towards its goals with quantifiable targets and regular reviews to keep it on track.
