This Thanksgiving season, I had the opportunity to reflect during a visit to the 9/11 Memorial at the World Trade Center. It served as a powerful reminder of how quickly life can change and how much we have to be grateful for, even in moments of uncertainty. It also highlighted an important truth: while we can’t control everything in life, we can control how we show up. We can be intentional with our actions, our thoughts, and our connections. Every new day brings the opportunity to start fresh—to try again, to be better, and to be grateful. As we gather with loved ones or even spend the holiday alone, we can choose how we engage with the world around us. We can choose to focus on what’s possible instead of dwelling on what didn’t go as planned. There’s often more power and potential within us than we realize. This Thanksgiving, I encourage us all to be intentional—with our time, our energy, and our attitude. And if we can't uplift ourselves, we can always uplift someone else, even with something as simple as a kind word or a phone call. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!
