The GenAI moment for marketing takes me back to my early days as a Digital Marketer at P&G. In those days the internet was disrupting marketing and we had to build brand.coms to give them an online presence. Fast forward 2024 most brands have an online presence of some sort and spending money on digital marketing, which accelerated after COVID. Now enter a new disruption which is as disruptive as the internet on the marketing function.....GenAI. A technology that if used properly can reinvent the brand development, creative and communications process something that took weeks can happen in hours or minutes. The Always on Always relevant, 1:1 personalised digital marketing promise that we as Digital P&Gers dreamed about 20 years ago (you know who you are :) wanted to achieve but couldn't........
