This is an old video of a client that booked a consultation session. This was someone who was initially hesitant to do IELTS (English test) as she thought she could easily get a work permit in Canada. After the session, upon more clarity about Canadian immigration, I was able to get her to do both IELTS and TEF (French test) and this got her an ITA (Invitation to Apply) during one the Express Entry draws some months ago. She and her husband also rounded up on their masters program in Nigeria. All these contributed to getting their CRS score to 514. It was a double celebration for this family as they also applied for study permit prior to getting ITA because they wanted to come to Canada as quickly as possible. Their study permit application was approved. Another good side is that as a permanent resident, one gets to pay the local rate and not international student fees, which is like 30% of international fees. So much efforts, time and money went into all of these for sure. There was also lots of dedication and commitment towards their Canadian journey. There was an Express Entry draw yesterday and it focused on French. I’m reiterating this story just to lay emphasis on the power of French ability. Taking the French test could be a game changer in your CRS score. To achieve your Canadian dream, you may need to up your game. Your Canadian dream is valid. You need to do all you can legally to live your dream. Impossibility is nothing.
