Not to rain on anyone's parade, but here's some clarity: For Plus members, the statement, "up to 1080p" is incorrect and frankly misleading. Plus members are only allowed to produce videos up to 720p resolution. But wait. There's more... As a Plus member, a 480p resolution, 5-second video with only a single output (no extra variations to choose from) will cost you 25 credits. Since Plus members only get 1000 credits, even if you could live with 480p resolution (not even usable for me), 40 videos will completely consume your credit allocation. If you want 720p resolution, which is pretty much the lowest usable resolution in today's desitnation environments (i.e. YouTube), then that same 5-second video will cost you 60 credits. You can only produce 16 five-second videos at 720p resolution within your 1000 credit allocation. Want more? No problem! All you have to do is upgrade to a Pro subscription, and it's only $200 per month. I'm not sure who's going to pay $200 per month to create AI video clips. I'm not. Just keepin' it real. This is great! Currently, some of big gaps in AI enabled video creation are: 🔴 Lack of storyboarding tool and easy to use script writing process flow. 🔴 Less or no option for selecting different genres of music and voice tone / modulation to enhance the video quality and audience experience. 🔴 Not creating scenes that aligns well to the cultural setting or visually paints the human emotions. For eg: Not showing characters expressing happiness, sadness, fear etc. Or showing Newyork when the city in discussion is Delhi. 🔴 Not providing translation of local language(s) to English in subtitles. Eventhough the largest market for video content consumption is outside US, none of the avaiIable AI tools support translation of local languages of India.

The big question is Why? If a machine creates it, it isn’t creation. Creation is human. It is reflective. It is fantasy. I must agree with all who have big picture thinking here on the comments and know that this trend will be a horrible tool in the wrong hands. This puts artists out of work, and definitely, you can’t claim credit for any work created. Where’s the purpose?
