As I dive deeper into my journey in finance, I'm finding more passion and excitement with each new concept I learn. However, I also realize that now, more than ever, is a crucial time in my career. I feel like I’ve got the intelligence and drive, but there are moments where I wonder if I’m being precise in my efforts but not fully accurate in my approach. That’s why I’m reaching out to this community—I'm in need of mentorship. Someone who can guide me, challenge my perspective, and help refine my path as I continue to grow in this industry. If you’re a finance professional with experience and a willingness to share your wisdom, or if you know someone who might be open to mentoring, I’d love to connect and learn from you. Sometimes all it takes is a bit of guidance to make the leap from potential to performance. #Finance #Mentorship #CareerGrowth #LearningJourney #FinanceMentor

In my experience spanning over ……years in the finance sector, I’ve seen firsthand the rapid evolution of our industry. The landscape is constantly changing, and the only way to stay ahead is through continuous learning and upskilling. To my fellow professionals and the bright young minds entering our field, remember that knowledge is power in today’s economy. Upskilling isn’t just about adding another certificate to your wall, it’s about embracing a mindset of growth and adaptability. It’s about understanding that the best investment you can make is in yourself. Whether it’s learning about the latest in fintech, mastering a new financial modeling technique, or simply improving your leadership skills, every step you take to enhance your capabilities sets you apart from the competition. It’s not just about being better than the person next to you, it’s about being better than you were yesterday. I encourage you to commit to being lifelong learners. Let’s push the boundaries of what we know and dive into the unknown with enthusiasm. Because in the end, the ones who are most prepared for the future are the ones who are willing to learn, unlearn, and relearn. Stay curious, stay hungry, and take charge of your career and your life.

Mentorship is such an important part of what we offer at GAIN, and is such a valuable expereince for both students and volunteers. If you are able to offer a few hours of your time (flexibly and remotely) then please do consider signing up to support the Investment Challenge this year! You can register here - https://lnkd.in/eKG2Df8c And please get in touch if you have any questions or would like more information! #mentors #schoolmentoring #investmentmentors #supportstudents #supportschools
We’re currently recruiting mentors for our Investment Challenge so I thought I would tell you a little bit about what makes taking part in this particular programme such a rewarding experience... Mentoring school students in investment is about inspiring change. For mentors, it’s a unique opportunity to shape how young people view careers in investment and to make a real difference early on. By guiding students through an equity stock pitch, mentors help break down the barriers to finance, showing them that this career path is for everyone. It’s also a chance to pass on real-world insights - everything from terminology to decision-making strategies - while sharing your personal journey and the opportunities within your own firm. Mentoring is an opportunity to build the next generation of thinkers and investors while also learning from fresh perspectives yourself. It’s rewarding, impactful, and an incredible way to give back! Mentoring requires just a few hours of your time over 3/4 sessions from January to March (which can be done remotely) and if you needed another reason to volunteer... if your team wins you will get to join them and celebrate their success at the annual GAIN Awards in June. If you think you could help - please reach out to me or the Education Partnerships team at GAIN: Natasha Hoskins, Sherin Grießer, Tamara Steffens! #GAIN #Mentorship #InvestInTheFuture #DiversityInFinance #CareerDevelopment #SchoolEngagement #InvestingInTheNextGeneration
