Warehouses Are Sexy | The New Warehouse Podcast & Advisory Services

What a time at #momentum24! I never thought I would see supply chain unification, sloths, generative AI advancements, armadillo races and humanoid robots in one place but Manhattan Associates made it happen! If you missed me going live on The New Warehouse be sure to catch the replay but here are some highlights: Supply chain planning is crossing all parts of the supply chain including operations in an upcoming update to their Active platform. Now your planners will not only be making the right decisions on inventory but also aligning that to best suit operational needs like labor and transportation. Big for those that are trying to find the right balance at peak times! Generative AI is just getting started on their platform and in a very smart way. With updates coming to their Active platform every 90 days, their new Assist AI product will allow users to easily dig into specific configurations and get the right updates configured for them. Avoiding many support calls and tickets while increasing the speed at which your business moves. Manhattan is embracing some of the latest tech including humanoid robots as indicated by their partnership with Agility Robotics. They are making sure their platforms are ready for these next level integrations now so when users are ready they can get going faster. Were you there? What were some of your top takeaways? More to come on the TNW blog and YT channel!

Kevin Lawton, CLTD Momentum24 really mixed it up this year - from sloths to humanoid robots, quite the spectacle. But on a serious note, integrating operational needs like labor and transportation directly into supply chain planning is ambitious. It's crucial, but getting it right is a huge challenge, especially during peak times. I'm eager to explore this further at the Gartner Supply Chain Symposium/Xpo, where Vitaly Nguyen Nguen will dive into supply chain planning and change management. Will these innovative ideas streamline operations, or just complicate them? What's your take?

Alright, I’ll bite. Tell me about these armadillo races. Were they organized? Or impromptu? Was betting allowed? Did your armadillo win?

Using G-AI for software configurations and questions has been one of the best uses of this software. It can be ridiculously annoying to find the exact answers to your questions. Having all types of data poured into a LLM that has synthesized it all and can immediately start helping on your problem is a huge step forward for efficiency and effectiveness.
