The world is paying too little attention to multiple mass displacements of people across Africa. This global apathy risks prolonging conflicts, putting millions at risk of starvation, violence and death. That's according to a new report from the Norwegian Refugee Council, arguing there is a 32 billion dollar shortfall in aid budgets for these mass displacements, which rarely even make headlines. This initiative proposes an 8-point plan, starting with an immediate UN-monitored ceasefire and the establishment of humanitarian corridors for the safe passage of aid and civilians. The plan includes deploying international medical teams, restoring supply chains for essential goods, and facilitating the immediate evacuation of vulnerable populations. The right of Palestinians to return home will be ensured, with peacekeeping forces providing security during reintegration. To ensure its implementation, the Global Peace Summit body is actively engaged in dialogues with ambassadors of multiple countries, government officials, ICC lawyers, and prominent human rights activists from around the globe.
