How to Calculate the Exchange Rate Effect? The best method to calculate the impact on revenue is the PVM PVM stands for: Price Volume Mix Price effect: How much the change in price difference vs last year (or budget) impacts your sales Volume effect: Isolating the mix and price effect, how much increasing or decreasing the quantities impacts the sales Mix effect: Even keeping total quantities and prices the same, sales can increase if we sell a higher proportion of expensive products And in the Price, there are two types of effect: Price effect = change of price in local currency effect + exchange rate effect Where Change of Exchange rate * Actual Price in foreign currency * Actual Volume This lesson is part of my course on Financial Analysis where I also explained the full PVM method: https://lnkd.in/d5YFSzGe
