One of the first professional books I read—way back in 1989—was The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People by Stephen Covey. These timeless principles still guide my journey, reminding me that success isn’t just about achievement, but about growing from the inside out. As we step into this week, may we all aim to be proactive, put first things first, and seek to understand others. Here’s to becoming more effective and purposeful every day. 💪✨ #7Habits #StephenCovey #GrowthMindset #BeProactive #PurposefulLiving #StartWithTheEndInMind

#1 Why Your Published Book Might Not Be What You Wanted This is the first part of a longer conversation I had this year with Jennie Nash, expert book coach and founder of Author Accelerator. Jennie talks about a new coaching client who said he 'hated his first book' and wanted help with his second. Talking to Jennie, he quickly realised he had not spent time planning his first book so it aligned with his business goals. A graduate of Jennie's program for book coaches, I am a certified non-fiction book coach using the Non-Fiction Book Blueprint as a key coaching tool for authors planning a book or reviewing a manuscript that is causing them grief. The starting point is ensuring your book and business goals align, and this year I have done some work with authors with Linda A Johannesson, whose expertise is business strategy and growth. Together we cover book and business alignment, and facilitate that early in-depth conversation Jennie refers to in this video clip. Please reach out if you would like to talk with me on Zoom about your book ideas and/or obstacles, and whether a book and business strategy session would be a good starting point for you.

How do you develop a business? You develop your people. A milestone in my journey with Minors & Brady Estate Agents and Lettings developing their Management Programme. Session 1 of 6 complete ✅ It’s so powerful to bring all these talented Managers/Directors/Heads of into one room for a day. Discussions were had, ideas were shared, and insights gained. Looking forward to seeing the marginal gains play out…

I’ve been coaching estate agents across the U.K. and today I had the pleasure of my own team. They started the session building a marshmallow tower with tape and spaghetti for engagement 🧠. We’ve identified how to manage problems and build solutions 🧱. What are your big rocks? What tasks need to go in first? 🪨 They’ve looked at the power of reverse engineering to get what you want, both personally and professionally 🤝. Great value added from Alex Brady & top work from Ryan Martin CMgr for putting this one together ✅ Don’t be lazy, book training in, your business deserves it 👊🏼 #coaching #business #uk #estateagent #norfolk

Are you struggling to increase your productivity and make the most of your time? Here’s a simple system I learned from Brad Sugars, a business coach who grew his one-man business coaching company into a worldwide franchise. 👇 When you have a huge task in front of you, divide it and multiply the outcome. First, you must be aware of the tasks that gulp down most of your time. When you’ve exposed your time-sucking tasks, think: automate, delegate, eliminate. For more tips on how to increase productivity and take back control of your time and life, keep your eyes peeled for my book, “Who The Hell Are You?”. In this book, I’ve laid out all the habits that may be holding you back from success, proven techniques to identify and weed out these habits, and a formula for creating the change you need to live an ideal life. #WhoTheHellAreYou #PersonalGrowth #Success #PersonalDevelopment #SelfDiscovery

Have you ever read the book “How To Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie? He wrote it in 1936 and the generations of people who have read it and been influenced by it are vast. In the past several years however, it’s been talked about as “cheesy”, “out of date” “old fashioned ideas” etc. Now there is some truth in that. Some things are out of date in it. But then again, things in “The Great Gatsby” are out of date too. You wouldn’t stop reading that. And you shouldn’t stop reading Carnegie’s great work. Here’s a nice article about the virtues of reading Carnegie’s book. Take a read of the article. Then take a read of “How To Win Friends and Influence People”. It will be worth your while. Whether you’re a small business owner, working in a small business, being a team lead or working in a large corporation. It will help you. I’d be interested in it after you read the book. Is it better to read 10 books 10 times or 100 books once? To get the most out of a book that offers me a chance for growth (personal or professional), I have found that each time I read it, I get more value from it. One book that I return to is “Traction” by Gino Wickman, a great read for entrepreneurs and business leaders. This book reminds me that business success doesn’t rest solely on my shoulders, but collectively with having the right people around me. What’s a book you enjoy re-reading? #BookRecommendations #ReadersAreLeaders #Read

One of my all time favorite books is Getting Naked By Patrick Lencioni This powerful book tells a story that will make you excited to be yourself and stop showing up inside a specific personality! It will show you how to truly serve, and how success can come out of love, peace, and joy. This book is perfect for entrepreneurs, business leaders, and professionals who are in the service industry. If you’re serious about your own transformation, and not just looking for more information, this book can help you in a powerful way. In fact, I want to give away a few copies of this book in spirit of serving you. Send me a message with your email and I’ll send you a copy.
