Kerbo Charge reposted this
New Kerbo Charge install in Brighton, at a Taylor Wimpey plc estate, managed and permitted by FIRSTPORT PROPERTY SERVICES LIMITED enabling 5x to 10x cheaper #EV charging for residents that previously had to roam around looking for expensive public chargers until this was fitted. "Thanks so much for getting that fitted, Ben. We're so pleased! " Thanks to Ohme as well for their accompanying charger install. This enabled their home charging cable to safely cross a busy footway without any bumps or trip hazards, without any bollards or build-outs and you can see how neat the installation site is just 20 minutes after the install!
Such a simple concept but so effective. Really glad to see this being installed over a whole estate! 👏
Meanwhile in Sheffield, our council is still doing nothing in relation to this.
Good to see, as critical infrastructure this device, and a massive tool to get us to MA! Thing is, the image that gets conjured up in people’s heads when they think of these devices is ‘Victorian terrace’ but, the issue it on new estates also. Nice work Ben Whitaker 👏🙌🏽
Great to see another perfect installation Ben.
Love it - great to see and thanks for sharing Ben Whitaker 🙌
Not far from me! Always wondered how they charged that atto! Great to start seeing it locally.

1wThis is a brilliant solution... However, my question is, who maintains it after it's installed? The owner or the highway authority (read local taxpayers) who have a legal duty to maintain a safe passage for pedestrians? Who ensures that it doesn't become a trip hazard and who is liable if someone trips or falls in the event of poor maintenance, movement of the pavements (by parking on the pavement, for example), or separation of the cable from the channel? It will happen... Lets make sure we are prepared...
