As the saying goes, money is the motivation. But money candidly is not enough for your affiliate program to crush. Think of your friends, would you take their jobs if they were offered to you at a pay rate higher than your own? I imagine *most of you might pass on that. Either because it’s not a good fit, or even more likely, you wouldn’t even know where to start. This is an essentially the thought process to consider when it comes to an affiliate program for a brand. If you are going to launch a program and hope it is a smashing success - you need to make sure the alignment goes deeper than pay. Some tips for doing so: - Litter your touchpoints with links to best practices - Be brutally honest about brand values and ideals in your touch points so that affiliates can self qualify if they really do identify with you or not - Obsess over lending a helping hand, whether it’s accepted or not, people love a safety net - Provide brand collateral and assets, overwhelm them with creative content ideas so that they know they don’t need to do everything on their own
