The support and partnership of the KAED Corporate Sponsors plays a key role in the success of the organization and demonstrates their dedication to KAED and our initiatives. We want to recognize AT&T as a Silver Sponsor and thank them for their generosity and commitment to making the Commonwealth a better place to do business. From 2020-2022, AT&T invested nearly $725 million in its wireless and wireline networks in Kentucky to expand coverage and improve connectivity in more communities. That investment has increased reliability, coverage and overall performance for residents and businesses, including high-speed fiber connections reaching more than 390,000 customer locations with more than 2 million strand-miles of fiber optics in the state. It’s also improved critical communications services for Kentucky’s first responders using the FirstNet network. AT&T Fiber and 5G are next-generation technology designed to have a multi-decade lifespan, enabling future-ready connectivity. AT&T Business Fiber helps business customers achieve their fullest potential – they can securely sell more goods, reach a larger audience, work faster and smarter. As of 4Q23, more than 800K U.S. business buildings are now lit with fiber from AT&T, enabling high-speed fiber connections to 3.3M+ U.S. business customer locations. Nationwide more than 10M business customer locations are on or within 1,000 feet of our fiber. The rapid growth of 5G connectivity is showing no signs of slowing down and the long-held promises of what its speed, low latency and bandwidth will unlock are coming closer to fruition. Our 5G network now reaches about 295M people and our mid-band 5G spectrum now reaches 210M people as of 4Q23. KAED looks forward to continued collaboration with our partners at AT&T.

One such change that businesses need to be aware of is the impending 3G sunset. In this article, we'll delve into what the 3G sunset is, how it affects businesses relying on GPS devices, and the importance of staying ahead of this technological transition. What is the 3G Sunset? The 3G sunset refers to the phasing out of the third-generation (3G) wireless network technology. Major telecommunication providers are discontinuing 3G services to make room for faster and more efficient 4G and 5G networks. This transition is a strategic move to enhance overall network performance and accommodate the increasing demands of modern technology. Impact on GPS Devices: Many businesses, especially those heavily dependent on GPS devices, are likely to feel the impact of the 3G shutdown. A significant number of GPS trackers and devices currently operate on 3G networks, and as these networks are decommissioned, these devices will cease to function. Tru Communications, part of the Tru Business Group, have been asked by a few of our customers - what does the analogue to digital switchover actually mean and why is it happening? Landlines in the UK are going digital. By 2025, the existing analogue technology (the PSTN - Public Switched Telephone Network) which has supported phone and broadband services for decades will be switched off and replaced with newer digital technology, that is simply more efficient. So, here are the benefits to businesses. 1. Increased Broadband Speeds In today's digital landscape, fast and reliable internet connectivity is crucial. Upgrading your broadband infrastructure and optimising network performance will enable smoother data transfer and support bandwidth-intensive applications. 2. Improve Efficiency By assessing your existing infrastructure and workflow you will be able to identify areas where efficiency can be improved e.g., appropriate upgrades, streamlining processes, and leveraging new technologies, all of which can enhance operational efficiency and lead to increased productivity and reduced downtime. 3. Reduce Costs By exploring alternative options such as landline-free broadband or a fixed price longer term, you may be able to secure more favourable rates and eliminate unnecessary expenses. 4. Supplier Consolidation Dealing with multiple suppliers for phone, broadband and support can be complex and time-consuming. Consolidating services with a single provider can help to streamline billing, improve service levels, and enhance customer support. Just get in touch if you want to know how we can help with the transition. #trubusinessgroup #digitalswitchover https://lnkd.in/ek95nwAP

🗣️ I’m incredibly proud of the team at MNB Networks Ltd for our ability to drive innovation and adapt to new challenges which are set from the management team and the networking industry. Our capabilities are far and wide across network technology, where some you might know about but some, maybe not. Can we deliver a network refresh at scale? Yes Can we fix network issues? Yes Can we monitor your network? Yes Can we talk about all of the new fancy network things? Yes But so can a load of other companies…. Our true differentiators are that we have a close knit team of experts, who are innovating on a daily basis. When I say innovating, I really mean innovating, which ranges arom ACTUALLY doing #networkautomation across multiple vendor solutions on a daily basis, to ingesting and visualising network data, to developing connectivity solutions that fix age old issues in the construction and similar other sectors amongst many other innovative areas of focus which are growing in respect to the services we offer. It takes time to build a great business and team but I believe we are building an amazing company, accompanied by interesting products and service offerings, which is mirrored by excellent customer feedback received. We work together as one team, not in silos. We support each other. We are transparent internally and with customers. We are innovators.
