I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: if you are a small business owner, you are an artist. If you are choosing a life that is uniquely tailored to your particular gifts and expression, you are an artist. Period. You are allowed and encouraged to put your gifts as an artist in service of your values and interests. My gift is communication and my values and interests are courage, creativity, and fighting the good fight. Our job as an artists and a business owners is to take risks and experiment.
