🚀 CAFS TIP: Connecting Services in Groups in Context Let’s talk about making the most of services and organisations in the CAFS syllabus! Here are some practical tips to strengthen your teaching and make meaningful connections across the course: 1️⃣ Find the Connections Use the syllabus to do a “Find and Replace” search for services and organisations. Use Post-it notes to map out all the connections across the course. You’ll be amazed at how interconnected it all is! Reflect on how this awareness might shape your teaching. 2️⃣ Teach Access First Start with factors affecting access to services (CAR = characteristics of individuals, aspects of the service, and resources). Build a solid foundation before diving into specific services. 3️⃣ Embed Year 11 Knowledge Reuse and align services you’ve already taught in Year 11 to reinforce learning and save time. 4️⃣ Work Smarter, Not Harder Align services across your four groups to reduce repetition and increase clarity. 5️⃣ Link Services to Organisations Where possible, tie services to real-life community organisations to give students practical context. Teaching smarter makes learning stick! 💡 How do you connect services in your teaching? Share your tips below! ⬇️
