"Delivering for working people?" I don't think so! My daughter received a letter from her son's nursery saying that they are having to raise what she pays to them by £20 per day!! She asked them why has it gone up nearly 25%. They said they have no choice because of the increase to employers NIC and the higher minimum wage. Starmer, you have no clue.

It certainly will deliver change for working people, less employed, as a result of your recent budget. You cannot heap costs on SME business, higher taxes and expect said companies not to make adjustments to remain profitable. The economic back bone of this country is small business, that employ people , work hard and help put food on families tables. If you want to support “working people” support the businesses that pay their wages, simple. I’m a working person that started from nothing and not only is your ignorance with economics offensive, it’s just plain the wrong course of action. Then again, nobody in your cabinet has actually run a business, so hardly surprising your lack of understanding or empathy. Whilst you try to appeal to mass vote, you are unlikely to get it next time around imo, not when lots of people your trying to “help” is out of work and worse off.

Our Plan for Change is a Reform UK Government!

I don't get it? I thought parties laid out their plans in a manifesto before the general election, rather than announcing them 5 months into office?

Also can I just check ...am I a working person? Ok I'm not a bricklayer like my dad was or a shopgirl like my mum was ..I do own and direct companies but some days I'm unloading my own trucks and cleaning the bathroom floor with a mop??does that count?or is it null and void when I chair a board meeting or discuss terms with clients? Having just paid corporation tax in the UK I would like to know ...signed confused brought up on a council estate with an 84 year old mother who's had her winter fuel allowance taken away to help pay a train driver 80k a year....oh nearly forgot..my 84 year old mum voted labour for the first time in her life...she wont vote labour again she says...you stammerman are hoping she dies before the next election...she's fighting the cold to stay alive long enough to vote you out...

Prime Minister, as a lawyer, you must understand that your statement constitutes a binding commitment to deliver for working people across the country. It is only reasonable to expect accountability should these promises not be fulfilled. Failure to meet these commitments could necessitate a reevaluation of your leadership. We urge you to uphold your promises with integrity to truly rebuild a united Britain.

As motivational speeches go that was bad, I suggest an urgent reset and some training. Talking of which, when politicians and Ministers can demonstrate any level of competence and consistency in their roles and deliver considered policy making rather than talking up continuous resets, relaunches and vague pledges, civil servants will respond. As a retired public servant, I can only afford a tepid bath as energy prices are high and pension credit is not available.

Worse PM in history

How about asking MPs to stop claiming for the utility bills to show solidarity with the withdrawal of the winter heating allowance for pensioners, after all The basic annual salary of a Member of Parliament (MP) in the House of Commons is £91,346, plus expenses, from April 2024. Whereas a pensioner only gets £11502 a year and can’t claim expenses. Reeves and her husband have a combined income of over £300,000 yet she claimed over £5,000 for utilities.
