Show and Tell: Last week's theme was, 'You plan, god laughs' but I still managed to get some things done: Had a consult with a client where we covered: - Automating repetative tasks and mapped out a process on the spot - Software options for building a client CRM - Software options for building a Client dashboard, and I built a rough prototype on the spot to show how it would function. - How to more effectively use their current project management tool Had a sales call with someone who teaches social skills for real life. Had a long catch-up with a business friend who was one of the few good things to come out of my one tech job. Moved 4 of my websites to WPX hosting to skirt the WordPress drama (see my previous posts) Created a sales page template in Thrivecart for a client's new offer. Worked on a tech audit for a client (visual mapping in Puzzle plus backing up their marketing data in Airtable) Set up a meeting with a client's other vendors to collaborate on a business analytics dashboard (we love working with your other vendors to help you reach your goals!) Wrote and published two blog posts about the WordPress mess Created a new opt-in form with Thrive Leads for a client site and included hidden fields to capture UTM data and send it to their CRM so they know where their leads are coming from and can track the best lead sources - especially important if you're running ads like this client plans to. Made an amazing video about Puzzle, the new business process mapping tool that we use to visualize processes for ourselves and all our clients. If you want to know more about that last one, I'm doing a live stream this Thursday at 1:00 pm Pacific and I'm going to interview a copywriter and map some of her processes in real time.
