Recently, I stumbled upon an old game on a 3.5" floppy from 1992 and decided to introduce it to my 10-year-old. It was The Incredible Machine by Sierra Games, and it made us think about solving complex problems with simple items. It was a great reminder that sometimes, the simplest solution is the best one. Have you ever revisited an old game or activity that taught you something new? #throwback #learningopportunities #solvingproblems

I'm now published on Steam! Creating video games has been an "entrepreneurial dream on the backburner" for most of my life. It's not my only entrepreneurial goal, but it's the one I can't seem to shake as easily as others, like my (thankfully) short-lived desire to build a social media platform. For years, I have expertly collected excuses for inaction. Talking about half-baked desires (like the social platform) would give me just enough dopamine to feel I was making "progress", and then throwing them out when I found reasons they wouldn't work made me feel smart. It was the compliment sandwich of doing nothing, and my personal goals suffered my silliness. Over the past year I've had the pleasure of pushing new avenues of action. While taking up powerlifting may be the most empowering of these avenues of action, I'm not sure any has been as gratifying as starting a business. Realizing the trap of talking rather than doing, I have not wanted to mention my business until now. It didn't feel real enough. But, with my debut game now available on Steam in Early Access and in the hands of its first customers, things are finally starting to feel real. SO, without further ado, I am excited to announce: Spritemage Games Lots more to do, and more to come!
Today marks the beginning of the Steam Summer Sale, and I can think of no better time to announce the debut title from Spritemage Games: Goblin Hotdogs Goblin Hotdogs is a cute and casual 3D Platformer where you explore, solve the mysteries of the universe (fun puzzles and platforming feats), and collect the ultimate prize (hotdogs). Sound like your brand of fun? It's now available on Steam in Early Access (Steam's beta release program), with smooth controls, a fully playable tutorial zone and first level, and more on the way! It will be peppered with real life examples, both good and bad, that really demonstrate the real effects of both paths. From representation in games, but also top community and within the studio. How to approach questions of representation with an open heart and develop methods of co-design. The talk: https://lnkd.in/g_Bz5saE #gamedev #indiedev
