Last week I had to deliver a 45-minute workshop in a third of the time… eek. As the meeting ran over later and later I was half expecting the item to get dropped but suddenly I was on with 15 minutes to play with. Sharpies and post-its in hand I went for it, moving participants along and slamming things on the wall. And do you know what? It worked. I got the strategic direction I needed, the group got the time on the other meeting topics they needed. The pace kept the session tight and the room energised. It made me also reflect that when I reprise this workshop, I’m keeping the pace high. More time doesn't always equal more output.
