Today is #Worldwildlifeday. Let us all stand still and think about how every single one of us can contribute towards the protection of wildlife, ecosystems and the planet. Together we can make a difference not only for our generation but also for future generations. Simple things everyone can do: 1. support a conservation organisation or project of your choice 2. reduce the use of single used plastic in your daily doings 3. care for local wildlife (e.g. insect hotel, water trees in your neighbourhood or collect trash from the street) And last but not least: believe in it. We do can make a difference together. #protect #conserve #wildlife #greenplanet #oneplanapproach #speciesplanning #urbannature

"If we don't take a little bit of that lynx habitat now, we're not going to save it over the long term because these big fires are inevitable." The path to protecting lynx presents tough choices. While conserving every acre of their forest habitat is ideal, experts like Carmen at Home Range Wildlife Research know restoring ecosystem resilience is crucial too. With catastrophic wildfires increasing, some targeted forest treatment is necessary to reduce fuel loads and prevent fires from permanently destroying lynx territories. It's a hard "pill to swallow" - carefully planning prescribed burns or thinning in lynx habitat. But taking this difficult short-term approach may be key to ensuring lynx have a home to return to after fires. Striking that balance between habitat conservation and improving long-term forest health is an immense challenge. But it's one conservationists must tackle to give this specialized cat a fighting chance. What's your view on making the tough choices to preserve biodiversity? Discuss below! 🐱🌲🔥 #Lynx #Conservation #Wildfire #ForestManagement #ToughChoices #LongTermThinking #BiodiversityMatters #NorthCascades #Washington #WomeninConservation

Today, we honor World Wildlife Conservation Day, a crucial reminder of the urgent need to protect endangered species and their habitats. Threats like habitat loss, climate change, and pollution don’t just harm wildlife—they disrupt ecosystems essential to all life on Earth 🐾💔 At Passages International, sustainability is more than a value—it’s a business opportunity. Traditional burial practices consume vast amounts of finite resources like steel and wood, which increasingly clash with the growing demand for eco-friendly options. By offering green burial products, funeral homes can not only align with modern consumer preferences but also solve the challenge of an ever-growing eco-conscious market. Here’s the truth: Consumers are asking for sustainable options, and meeting that demand can significantly impact your bottom line. Green burials allow funeral homes to diversify offerings, drive revenue with meaningful products, and distinguish themselves as leaders in an evolving industry. On this World Wildlife Conservation Day, let’s commit to making sustainable choices that benefit the planet, align with consumer trends, and support a thriving future for our industry. Together, we can make a difference 🌱💚 #WorldWildlifeConservationDay #Sustainability #GreenBurials #FuneralIndustry #EcoFriendlyFunerals #PassagesInternational #ProtectWildlife #TheNaturalChoice #DriveRevenue

🌿🌏 𝓗𝓪𝓹𝓹𝔂 𝓦𝓸𝓻𝓵𝓭 𝓦𝓲𝓵𝓭𝓵𝓲𝓯𝓮 𝓓𝓪𝔂!🐾🌟 As we celebrate the rich diversity and raise awareness for the endangered of wildlife on our planet, let's take a moment to reflect on how our plumbing choices can impact the environment. Here are some eco-friendly plumbing tips to help protect wildlife: 1. 🚿 Water Conservation: Install low-flow showerheads and taps to reduce water usage. Conserving water helps preserve freshwater habitats essential for wildlife survival. 2. 🌱 Eco-Friendly Products: Opt for biodegradable and non-toxic cleaning products to prevent harmful chemicals from contaminating waterways and harming aquatic life. 3. 🌳 Rainwater Harvesting: Install rainwater tanks to collect and store rainwater for outdoor use. By reducing reliance on municipal water sources, you help conserve natural habitats and protect wildlife. 4. 🌊 Leak Detection: Regularly inspect your plumbing for leaks and repair them promptly. Conserving water reduces stress on freshwater ecosystems and ensures wildlife have access to clean water sources. 5. 🦆 Wildlife-Friendly Landscaping: Choose native plants for your garden to attract and support local wildlife. Create habitat areas with ponds or bird feeders to encourage biodiversity. Let's do our part to protect wildlife and preserve our precious natural resources through eco-conscious plumbing practices! 🌿🐦 #WorldWildlifeDay #EcoPlumbing #WildlifeConservation #SustainableLiving #CRUCIALPlumbing #SydneyPlumbers #Mosman
