Cultural assets are levers of growth, as they generate employment and local development and define our values and heritage and the environment in which we live in. Instead of promoting conservation, some governments -and Greece is high up in the list- are showing an ever declining commitment. One wonders why, when promising results i.e. the National Trust or the European Historic Houses show we are in the wrong direction.
