"A pat on the back." As I reflect on my path today, I see reasons to develop and build a career based on discipline, honesty, and adherence to HR ethical standards. I am on an extremely difficult path in my work, but with the right mindset and determination, I will definitely get through. When life gives you another chance, seize the opportunity. Note to my future self: Keep on keeping on. I will definitely achieve all or most of what I set out to do. #HR Inspiration# # HR development# #loveself# #Open to new opportunities in HR roles... “Remove irrelevant work experience from your profile” Why would you ever want to do that? Every work experience teaches you a different lesson Many skills acquired while doing different roles are transferable I developed many transferable skills while I was working in manufacturing & quality which include; ➡️ Leadership ➡️ Relationship Management ➡️ Decision Making ➡️ Goal Setting ➡️ Prioritization ➡️ Communication These skills have proven to be game changers for me in my HR & OD roles since my career switch in 2019 Instead of removing your irrelevant work experience, use it to showcase your transferable skills Which transferable skills have you developed? P.S: Transferable skills are skills you use in every job, no matter the title or the field

The Journey of My Career - Part 6 After a lot of things in my career, I have target plan for my career. I want to have higher position after working about 3-6 years in my position as staff. If not happened, I choose to get better opportunity in other company. It looks like an ambitious, right? Hahahaha… But I just want to appreciate what I have done for several years to myself. And it’s happened in my 5th working years (even there was story behind that)… I was promoted as HR Deputy Manager with probation period for 6 months. I should manage many things for 6 months, learn how to handle my direct reporting and handover and teach my colleague to do my job. I could pass it at this time and definitely as Deputy Manager, the position that I thank to God because I’ve never expected that I can be in the management level before 30s. God’s plan is always beautiful than my mind. Even after that, I face another problem. One year after my promotion, the person who replaced me resigned and I should handle the operational of training again and recruit the candidate. Yeah, life is never flat so there is another story everyday. Now, it has been passed and after that promotion, I have been involved to HR Global Meeting that is expanding my network, perspective, and how to work globally. #sharingiscaring #jobexperience #guntnerindonesia #ceritaapfia #humanresources #HR

You are a person not a job title. You are unique. You are not an HR Director**, you are a professional who helps your senior team to [insert your outcome here]. Don't think about job titles, think about what is INVOLVED in the role. If it helps, ask yourself: What difference does it make? What impact will I have? What is the legacy that I can leave behind? When developing your talent, consider the same points. How is it going to help someone to set themselves apart by: • making a difference • having and impact, and • leaving a legacy Now, are you creating the right opportunities to make this happen in your business? **insert alternative job title here

HR Folks - I’m curious. What career pathways would you suggest to an admin who is seeking a way out of administration? Admins are jacks of all trades, and that skill set is a great starting point for the next stop on their career journey, the question really is just…what IS next? What’s even out there? What real life guidance or comments do you have for real, successful, career transitions for admins? Share your general thoughts. This is research for my own personal business.

Job seekers with no experience should be given a chance to work. Employers might miss someone who may do the job better. Everything starts from 0 and if given the proper training and information, comes the hidden talents and great work ethics. I myself started from 0 when I applied for work before. I learned from my day to day activities and interaction. Then, I received different awards for working hard. Give chance to newbies. We will never know that we might build a CEO someday. My 2 cents 😊 . #jobseekers #employers #employees #newbies

Counting years of experience as a qualification is overrated. Looking at so many job posts I see employers asking for 8, 10, even 15 years of experience as a primary qualification for roles that shouldn't require that much. Is it really all about number of years one spent doing the same job day in, day out? Or is it to show loyalty and obedience? Because, let's face it. Experience isn't measured in years. Quality > Quantity One can learn more in a year than another in ten. One can make an impact in a few years than another couldn't in a lifetime. A few years of meaningful, impactful work can often outweigh a decade of going through the motions. I encourage all to look beyond the numbers. Beyond the age. And look at impact and value created. #qualityoverquantity #operations #hr #recruiting #careerdevelopment #experience

Since Dec. 2020 I have served as an Administrator for Vehicle Logistics at BMW. 3 years at the local level in Galveston, TX... and now going on 6 months at the national level, I’ve overseen the administrative functions for Vehicle Distribution Centers nationwide. This role has given me invaluable experience, but my shift to this National level and being more corporate focused... I have been in an adjustment period. As I settle into this upgraded role, I have discovered a new(ish) passion that I am eager to pursue. I have always been drawn toward helping my fellow employees with resume building and career coaching. I thrive on helping others optimize their roles and find fulfillment in their careers. It was during an impromptu workshop I ended up leading that I had an epiphany: this is my flow state. I could do this all day! Most recently, I was tasked with creating an Engagement Survey, and to present the resulting data... as I pick through the information, and dig into people analytics... I realize... this truly resonates with me. I need to follow this through. Considering this is a new decision, the current challenge is figuring out the best steps to make this transition. I’ve spent so much time helping others find their next steps, and now it’s time to turn that focus inward. I am tackling this challenge by maintaining a growth mindset and staying as organized as possible. Every day, I’m learning new ways to communicate and am understanding new (to me) human issues. My history has always lent itself to empathetic thinking, but I am eager to learn more about people to help facilitate better working environments for everyone. I have a friend in HR whom I’m considering reaching out to, but I haven’t yet. Networking in a career aspect has never been my strong suit, so I’m making a concerted effort to grow in this area. Deciding to transition into HR is an achievement in itself. Although the career change hasn’t happened yet, I can already tell that I will feel more fulfilled by helping others in their professional journeys. My ultimate goal is to transition into the HR field and establish myself as a thought leader, advocating for authenticity in the workplace. I believe that creating an environment where people can be their true selves will lead to greater fulfillment and productivity. Thank you to everyone who has supported me so far. Here’s to new challenges and the journey ahead in HR! (or to atleast figuring out how to get there) #CareerTransition #HRJourney #ProfessionalGrowth #LearningAndDevelopment #AuthenticityAtWork
