Sharing and discussing successful #decarbonization experiences was the goal of a workshop held in São Paulo on September 18 by Bayer, a major global healthcare and agriculture organization. And CINE was one of the guests! The director of our center, Professor Ana Flavia Nogueira (Unicamp), participated in a panel at the event dedicated to discussing partnerships between companies and academia, startups, and associations. She shared CINE's experience as a driver of innovation in decarbonization. Among the participants were representatives from several companies and startups, Unicamp, and the American Chamber of Commerce for Brazil (Amcham), among other entities. Starting with the presentation of success stories, the discussion involved the role of #OpenInnovation as a key to accelerating decarbonization in companies, with partnerships with startups and academic institutions being essential in the process. A while back, I discussed the urgent need for innovation in the packaging industry (check out my previous post here: Link). Since then, I've explored the startup landscape and identified several promising reusable packaging options. While the transport packaging and Food2Go sectors are becoming increasingly competitive, there's still a significant opportunity for growth in pre-packaged solutions, offering FMCGs reusable packaging that they can fill at the factories and consumers grab from the shelves. Currently, Loop is leading the charge internationally, but there's ample "grey" space for new entrants. To enhance the document and while we are continuing to look at the topic further, I'm calling on all angel investors, VCs, PEs, corporates, and startups to share any other companies offering reusable packaging solutions. #Consumer #PackagingInnovation #StartupGrowth
