💾 *How can digital innovations contribute to a circular society? 💾   That was the question of our plenary session yesterday, organised by the EWUU Alliance - Institute 4 a Circular Society at the Navigating Transitions Conference of the alliance TU/e, WUR, UU, UMC Utrecht (EWUU). 🚀 Pleasure to lead the discussions about the urgency of moving from a linear to circular society, and to combine different viewpoints. 🎇 Patterns of production, consumption, resource depletion resulting in climate change, social injustice, environmental pollution and biodiversity loss cannot be stressed enough.This becomes even more pressing in light of resource scarcity, and current geopolitical tensions. A big challenge, an important challenge.   ❣ Digital innovations can help aid this transition, but are often not implemented.   ❓ So: What does the digital landscape look like, how can we use it to promote circular solutions, what opportunities are there, and what critical sustainability pitfalls must we be wary of? Thanks to Alexander Klippel, Banu Aysolmaz, Laura Piscicelli and Dirk van Meer for their insights into digital twins, business models, implementation in waste sorting, and to Jurgen Ganzevles (PhD) for taking the lead in bringing them together at Tivoli Vredenburg.
