And, here I am talking again about the power of #community, this time in #womenshealth. Did you know women over 35 are the fastest-growing demographic in recreational running? 🏃🏼♀️ These are busy moms and professionals who prioritize health and fitness through running, and many find a supportive network through running groups. If you dig a bit deeper, these runners: ✅ Tend to run with other like-minded women ✅ Spend time online researching, discussing, and purchasing ✅ Are invested in their own health and wellness as well as their own family, including aging parents. In other words, it's a real-life #socialnetwork Tapping into these communities allows you to: 🌟 Build trust and loyalty to create a deep connection 🌟Drive the referral engine: Community members readily share positive experiences, driving product trial and sales organically. 🌟Extend your brand: Get product in hand and drive folks into e-commerce & retail locations In the women's healthcare space, this is especially powerful. It allows you to create a safe space for open conversations, address concerns specific to running and healthcare (e.g., pelvic floor health, nutrition, fertility, menopause, eldercare), and build lasting brand loyalty through #wordofmouth. Has your brand considered the power of community? Let's chat about how we can tap into these communities! #womenshealth #communitymanagement #healthcaremarketing #runningcommunity

Today, I had the privilege of attending a fantastic workshop on scaling and growing a business as part of the BOSS toolkit organised by 1 Mill Street led by the inspiring Phil Evans One of the biggest takeaways for me was the importance of getting the foundations right. Before you can grow, you need to truly understand your Ideal Customer Profile (ICP)—who are they, and how does your product or service solve their pain points? I see so many businesses trying to be everything to everyone, but there’s power in narrowing your focus. By mastering one area, building your brand, and becoming a thought leader in your space, you can create a reputation that stands out. This resonated deeply with me as we grow FitMAMA. Our Unique Selling Proposition (USP) is that we are the first health and wellness app to bring everything a mother needs into one place, supporting her from conception all the way to menopause. For mums, this means removing the fragmentation of health and wellness services and delivering evidence-based, accessible information across every stage of motherhood. For our corporate clients, our value proposition is different—we highlight how FitMAMA delivers cost savings and ROI by investing in women’s health. Studies show companies that prioritise these provisions can see up to a 3x ROI, and we’re proud to be part of this solution. Workshops like today’s are a great reminder that learning never stops. Thank you, Phil, for sharing your insights! I’m excited to take these tools back into my journey as a founder and continue growing FitMAMA’s impact. #ScalingBusinesses #GrowthMindset #FitMAMAWay #LearningAndDevelopment #WomensHealth

"I LOVE YOUR SHOES" "I said your hair looked amazing but what I really wanted to say was… “Your energy sparks a little bit of something in mine, your smile warms my heart, and when you laugh, I just have to laugh too, it’s like a bubbling stream of fresh water running through my soul. I feel like the sun is shining on me when you’re near and when I leave you, sad as it is, I feel like I’ve been charged, plugged into the mains for an infusion of fizz and life.” But I said, “I love your shoes”, instead. I hope you heard, what I really meant" - Donna Ashworth From ‘I wish I knew’ This inspiring passage epitomises beautifully what our platform Let's Talk is. Celebrating 4 years of Own Your Health Collective with 🌸Lisa Saunders What a four years it has been. We started in the midst of the dark days of 2020 with a simple mission of helping people to own their health with a whole health approach. What became a simple idea morphed into a bigger cause of shifting taboos, finally talking about Menstrual Cycles and Menopause and the giant mission of educating women, men, community and businesses about why we need this support in the workplace and in life. We can smile now as we reflect on the virtual doors slammed in our phases as these topics were far too taboo to even mention out loud let alone talk about in the workplace. What a ride we have been on and so grateful to have contributed to this change in narrative in this country. Some of our greatest moments have been: - Hosting our Peri Menopause Power podcast over120 episodes with 102,000 downloads. - The countless conversations we have had with so many people from all walks of life. - The many many workshops we have facilitated for small and big business across the country. - The many women who have trusted us with supporting their lifestyle health and wellbeing. - The amazing partnerships and collaborations we have and are part of. - The highs, the lows, the tears, the joy... its all been worth it to see the impact we are having. It's with a very grateful heart that we reflect on the past four years and we look forward to so many more wonderful things to come. #celebratingwins #businesslife #womeninbusiness #menopausesupport #womenshealthcoach #menstrualhealth #workplacewellbeing

𝘽𝙀𝙉𝙀𝙁𝙄𝙏𝙎 𝚘𝚏 𝙍𝙐𝘾𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂 𝚊𝚔𝚊 𝚠𝚊𝚕𝚔𝚒𝚗𝚐 𝚠𝚒𝚝𝚑 𝚊 𝚠𝚎𝚒𝚐𝚑𝚝𝚎𝚍 𝚟𝚎𝚜𝚝 I started rucking a year ago after listening to back to back podcasts about it from both Dr Peter Attia and Andrew Huberman. I recently listened to a podcast with Dr Mary Carver talking about how she walks with a weighted vest too and I felt like… yeah me! I’m part of the cool kids club lol💪🏻 In my ongoing journey to be my healthiest as I approach 56, and because I get a lot of questions about my weighted vest, I wanted to share some of the benefits (specifically for women though it’s great for everyone): 1. Rucking is simple and available to anyone requiring minimal gear. You can start small and work your way up to higher weights 2. It combines walking with weight training without the need for going to a gym 3. It strengthens your bones (post menopausal women start losing bone density dangerously fast making bone fractures a huge health threat to women who are more likely to break a bone than get breast cancer, or have a heart condition) 4. It is one of the best ways to get fit - while reducing risk of injury (just keep the weight at 30% or under - your body weight) 5. Rucking can burn up to 3x more calories than walking alone 6. It gets you outside and getting outside to walk is great for our mental health Rucking is being touted as one of the best forms of exercise for women and I would agree! I am rucking with 25lbs at the moment, dispersed between my weighted vest and wrist weights that are 3lbs each so that I can get the additional benefit of toning my arms. I love it! It’s not easy - it pushes me just enough & I can see and feel the many benefits to my body overall. Have you tried 𝙍𝙐𝘾𝙆𝙄𝙉𝙂? Women's sports are on a winning streak, reaching new heights and shattering records. As women's sports thrive in growth, viewers, and support, there still is one major gap: female athletes' health is underserved and underprioritized. While many clubs and organizations recognize the importance of addressing areas like: • Menstrual health • Breast health • Pelvic floor function • Nutrition and disordered eating behaviors • Injury prevention • Fertility and planned parenthood • Pregnancy with players, • Female life stages … they often lacked the resources to build effective frameworks from scratch.\ Supporting female athletes isn’t just a performance advantage—it’s a duty of care. Every team, club, and organization, regardless of resources, must have access to actionable strategies, referral pathways, and interdisciplinary frameworks that prioritize women’s health and well-being. As a sports pharmacist focused on female athlete health, I’m passionate about helping clubs, coaches, and athletes bridge these gaps. Together, we can build sustainable, impactful solutions that level the playing field for all female athletes—on and off the pitch. What topics would you like to know more about female athlete health? #sportspharmacy #femaleathlete #strongwomen #womeninsport #herathlete #sportsmedicine #sportsnutrition #sportscardiology #athletictrainer #performancehealth
