Every Sunday I share an Open Source Tool from the Cloud Native Ecosystem. Today: CloudNativePG. CloudNativePG is a opensource Kubernetes operator that covers the full lifecycle of a PostgreSQL database cluster with a primary/standby architecture, using native streaming replication. It is designed to manage PostgreSQL workloads on any supported Kubernetes cluster running in private, public, hybrid, or multi-cloud environments: https://lnkd.in/dNY7d5x2. #kubernetes #openshift #database #operator #opensource #OpenSourceSunday ___ Did you know about this tool? Are you using it already? What are your experiences? ⬇️ Discuss in the comments below! ⬇️ ___ I'm Christian Huth and I create content about: #cloudnative and #opensource technologies like #kubernetes or #openshift and modern #it practices like #devops, #devsecops, and #gitops. It's been quite some time since I wrote a microservice from scratch, and in the meantime I have learned a lot of new stuff and best practices. I'm planning on practicing and implementing all that I have learned and write short articles covering individual aspects. If you are on a similar journey, you might find these useful. Following is the first part, where I set up a CNPG database. #cnpg #kubernetes #postgresql #civo #cloudnative #helm

Hi Everyone, I have written a new blog post on medium. In this blog post I have explained how can you automatically rollout restart your Kubernetes deployment when a ConfigMap or Secret is updated. Please do read and share it with others. #kubernetes #awseks #reloader #blog #blogpost #medium #containers #eks https://lnkd.in/dTc4fMAc

🚀 **Exciting Announcement!** I've been working on something that I believe will make life a lot easier for anyone dealing with AWS and Kubernetes. 🎯 I’ve developed a **shell script** that fully automates the deployment process of an **Amazon EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service) Cluster**. But that’s not all! 🎉 I also created a script that allows for the seamless installation of an **Amazon ALB (Application Load Balancer)** on the EKS cluster. What makes this special? - 🛠️ The script takes user input to configure the EKS cluster and ALB installation with ease. - ⚡️ It simplifies a process that typically takes multiple manual steps, making it faster and more efficient. If you're working with AWS EKS and want a smoother, more automated deployment process, feel free to check out the project on GitHub: 👉 GitHub Repo -> https://lnkd.in/gvTvCquv 👈 I’d love to hear your thoughts and share insights on how this can help your projects. Let’s connect! 🤝 #AWS #EKS #Automation #Kubernetes #CloudComputing #DevOps #ShellScripting #ALB Besant Technologies BTM Layout TrainWithShubham #github --- Let me know if you'd like to tweak anything!

Starting from Kubernetes 1.30, the Kubernetes API server comes with a built-in validating admission controller that allows defining custom policies using the Common Expression Language (CEL)! In this guide @stefanprodan covers how to use this Kubernetes built-in validating admission engine to enforce policies on multi-tenant clusters managed by @fluxcd . Check out now https://buff.ly/3W7Qcas #kubernetes #fluxcd

Kubernetes Operator to sync secrets between different secret backends and Kubernetes Here at Digitalis we love vals, it's a tool we use daily to keep secrets stored securely. We also use secrets-manager on the Kubernetes deployment we manage. Inspired by these two wonderful tools we have created this operator. #devopskhan
