Manager/Senior Manager Commercial Agriculture
Role Summary:
To drive the growth and profitability of the company by acquiring and managing key accounts, negotiating favorable contracts, and ensuring smooth operations with buyers, exporters, and local millers.
Responsibilities:
● Identify, qualify, and onboard new buyers, exporters, and local millers in the agro commodities and products market.
● Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, fostering long-term partnerships.
● Develop and implement effective sales and marketing strategies to increase market penetration and revenue.
● Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging trends and opportunities.
● Negotiate and finalize contracts with buyers, exporters, and local millers, ensuring favorable terms and conditions for the company.
● Monitor contract performance and take corrective action as needed.
Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
● Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and efficient procurement of agro commodities and products from farmers.
● Facilitate the smooth integration of farmers into the supply chain.
● Provide support and guidance to farmers on best practices, quality standards, and market trends.
● Oversee the day-to-day operations of the commercial team, including order processing, inventory management, and logistics.
● Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
● Resolve any issues or challenges that may arise during the sales and delivery process.
Must Haves:
Qualifications:
● Bachelor's degree in business administration, agriculture, or a related field.
● Proven track record in sales, business development, and contract negotiation.
● Strong understanding of the agro commodities and products market.
● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Experience:
● Minimum 4+ years prior experience in the agro industry, particularly in sales and procurement, would be highly beneficial.
● A strong network of buyers, exporters, and local millers can be a significant advantage.
● A proactive approach to problem-solving is essential to address challenges that may arise.
