This week, we marked an incredible milestone – 20 years of the Heathrow Employment & Skills Academy (Heathrow Academy). We were thrilled to celebrate alongside many of our partners who have been instrumental in our journey. Over the last two decades, the Heathrow Academy has been a bridge between our local community and the extraordinary careers Heathrow has to offer, and we are proud of what we have achieved in collaboration with our partners. The day was filled with several highlights: ✨ We heard inspiring stories from local young talent who’ve kickstarted their careers with the Academy and are now part of the Heathrow family. ✨ Our partners shared how working together has made a real impact on not just their business, but the people’s lives through education and employment opportunities. ✨ We celebrated 10 newly qualified apprentices from our Shared Apprenticeship Scheme – a huge achievement! ✨ And to top it all off, the wonderful Heathrow Primary School choir delivered a truly heart warming performance. We were delighted to have members of our senior leadership team, including Thomas Woldbye, Chief Executive Officer and Nigel Milton, Chief Communications and Sustainability Officer, join us for this special celebration. Their support has been invaluable to the success of the Heathrow Academy. We were also honoured to welcome Lord Blunkett, whose presence and insightful speech made the occasion even more memorable. Behind the Heathrow Academy’s success stands a dedicated team driven to deliver the best outcomes for our community - a huge thank you to everyone who has been part of this journey so far.
