🌟 Introducing Successful Volunteer Sessions at Castle Grounds and the Cemetery! 🌟 I'm thrilled to announce that this year, one of my projects has been to introduce volunteer sessions for two of our beloved open spaces: the Castle Grounds and the Cemetery. 💚 Castle Grounds: Our volunteers have done a fantastic job maintaining and beautifying this historic site. Their efforts ensure that the grounds remain a peaceful and inviting place for everyone to enjoy. 🌸 Cemetery: Here, volunteers have been instrumental in preserving the dignity and tranquillity of the space. Their work helps honour the memory of those laid to rest and provides a serene environment for visitors. Volunteering is more than just lending a hand; it's about building a community, fostering a sense of ownership, and making a positive impact. It's a chance to meet new people, learn new skills, and gain a sense of fulfilment from contributing to something meaningful. 🙏 Why Encourage Volunteering? SATURDAY MORNING (AUGUST 3RD) at 8:30 AM our amazing Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Phoenix will be cleaning up the community once again! In honor of Kenny "Fanatic" Hogan, for this Community Clean-Up our volunteers, along with Bluprint Music Group, will be meeting up in the parking lot of Rodriguez Boxing Club, located at 1350 W Roosevelt St Phoenix, AZ 85007 NO OPEN-TOED SHOES Cleaning up loose trash is one of the best ways to pitch in for your community and the environment. Volunteering as a means to help conserve and protect the environment has a lot of upsides. Of course, the first is that you’ll be taking care of our planet, and it badly needs a little love given the myriad ways in which we’ve become adept at destroying it. But beyond that, volunteering for a cause you care about is a great way to meet like-minded people, make friends, and pull yourself out of the blues that sometimes accompany caring a lot about something important – especially if you feel alone in your endeavors. None of us like the sight of litter. Litter spoils the look of where we live but that’s not the only reason for picking up litter. There are a number of benefits from picking up litter that you may not have considered before. But even if you’re off work it can still be a busy time- especially if you’re struggling to think of fun activities for kids that can rival the iPad. That’s why it’s so important to take time out to breathe, recuperate and reenage with life outside your usual work and home life bubble.
