The majority of what marketers talk about here is how life "should" be if you make all these changes to your organization as they prescribe. Like it's such a finger snap. You and I both know it's not that simple. Life in a business happens while you're reading LinkedIn posts. It's what happens in the interim before the destination. How you navigate What Is while you work toward What We Hope Will Be. I would like to see more from our world about the transition and what's entailed. For example: "Sales and marketing need to be aligned." Yeah. We get it. So let's talk about how we actually do that. Let's talk about how long that takes since it ain't happening in one meeting with everybody joining hands. Let's talk about the obstacles and challenges from the status quo that will inevitably arise. Let's talk about a practical timeline for the next baby step toward that outcome and what we should look for for signs of reaching common ground. Let's talk about 1-3 real measurables for people to appreciate who aren't in our business rather than abbreviations for marketing geeks. See, it's one thing to have lists of outcomes in The Promised Land but I don't see enough broken down for people to implement. The people doing this are clearly experienced, intelligent folks in the marketing space. No question. But they should know as well as anyone to know the audience and what it takes to work with them to get to where you want to go. Skipping over the bridge from here to there and talking over their heads won't earn their trust. Be a relatable Human who happens to be an expert in marketing. Not a Marketing Expert who can't talk like a relatable human.

Why Messaging Matters in Your Go-to-Market Strategy. I've seen many businesses miss the mark by focusing on advertising tactics before they’ve nailed down their messaging. If your prospects don't understand why your solution matters to them, even the best marketing efforts will fall flat. 💡 Key Tip: A clear, resonant message can make all the difference. It's not just about what you say—it's about how you say it and how it connects with your audience’s needs. Are your prospects really listening? If not, it’s time to rethink your messaging. Let’s talk about how we can clarify your message and fuel consistent business growth. 🚀

Are you a service provider who finds it hard to really explain what they do? and has minimal budget to spend on marketing? I've got you. Let me share my checklist that I run through on my strategy days when we work through the "mastering your message" section. 👉🏽 Be brutally honest and truly ask yourself if you are obsessed with the work that you are doing? if not, it will really show in your comms 👉🏽 Start an email list. A non-negotiable. I treat my list as a space for VIP's. They find out everything first and as a result I have an open rate of anything between 52-74% (which is huge based on an average of on flodesk of 21%) But again you must nurture your list and show up each week with something fresh and different to say. 👉🏽 Share as much of your story that feels comfortable to you. People buy into people and so if you have new lessons that you have learnt, share them. It allows people to build an emotional connection to you not just your business. 👉🏽 Utilise your entire network. Seriously, ask everyone in your network to share a post, or introduce you to someone. Just think, if a friend asked you for help you would do it right away? and so others are going to want to help you too. They are not mind readers, you have to ask. This is literally about 5% of what we could do together. In my experience it is paramount to start with the basics. Build that strong foundation and then add to your business bit by bit. What would you add to this? #strategyday #brandmarketing #marketingtips

Lots of marketing campaigns receive jaw droppingly good metrics, But businesses are still unimpressed. Why? Commonly, it’s due to these campaigns failing to result in sales. As they fail to position the business as a key player in its sector. Businesses simply lack the authority to convince prospects to buy 😥 So how exactly do you build a business’s authority? 1/ 𝐁𝐞𝐜𝐨𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐚𝐦𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐭𝐨 𝐚 𝐟𝐞𝐰 You need to focus on making your business the go-to brand for what you specialise in. To do this you need to effectively communicate: → What you do. → Who your offering is for. → The solution you offer. With consistent communications, you increase your brand recognition with key targets. 2/ 𝐆𝐞𝐭𝐭𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐛𝐚𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐨𝐟 𝐨𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐬 You also need to build trust from other respected figures. You can do this by being recommended by: → Other leaders in your field. → Your existing clients. → Trade magazines. People still buy from people so being recommended by others is essential for building trust with potential buyers. 𝐓𝐋𝐃𝐑; You build your business’s authority by: → Increasing brand recognition. → Building trust with your target audience. Without this, the foundations of the relationship you have built with prospects are not strong enough to convince them to buy from you further down the line. PS.
