I do a lot of work for charity, but I don't like to talk about it. I remember that was a standard joke from before I ever got into show business. That kind of false modesty about your own good deeds is transparent, hey? So, I'm redressing it as "I do a bit of work for charity, and occasionally, I'll talk about it" Sometimes, you get asked to do stuff for charities, and when you look into it, everyone else is getting wedged in, and you are expected to do a Saturday night for nothing. It's my choice, though. if you don't charge, it's easier to say no when you can't or think you've done enough. My mate Alfie Joey gave me a tip years ago to colour code your wall planner so you can see how many free nights you are giving away over the next few months. Sometimes, it's good for the soul to do these things; it's a truism that you get more out of giving than you put in. If you are lucky enough to earn a nice living doing something fun you love, give karma a chance and do stuff if you can. You'll get a lovely warm feeling about yourself and never know who is in the crowd that might book you in the future. It would be poor etiquette to list the many great things I've done for charity in the last year - so I won't. But you know now that I have, so that's served its purpose :) One charity I want to mention is North West Air Ambulance Charity - they are all brilliant dudes, and I have had the pleasure of hosting the awards for the last two times. For free, of course - hahaha. I don't like to talk about it.... Now, things have taken a terrible turn for the worse. I'm running the The Great Run Company Mcr 10k for them. If training is too harsh, you should ingratiate yourself with the people who might have to airlift you to the hospital.
Thank you so much for your continued support Justin - it was great to have you host our awards again this year 💙💛 Looking forward to seeing you at The Great Manchester Run as part of #TeamNWAA 🙌
Great stuff! Always wanted to be able to get you to do one of my charity shows when I was at the British Red Cross. Couldn't make it happen but that's all good and great to see you doing good stuff for other great causes.
It’s great that you’re talking about the support you give charities. It’s helping them twice - first through the actual event and again when you raise their profile talking about them!
I will pay to see you ran pal well done 🙌
Alfie Joey and yourself do so much good stuff for charity. Feel fortunate to have met and worked with you both in a goodwill capacity! Thoroughly good eggs!
Thank you Justin for your dedicated support 💙💛 It is great to have you on board for the The Great Run Company Manchester 10K where you’ll take to the streets with some of the incredible lives we’ve saved over of our 25 years! We’ll be there cheering you on all the way…only 88 days to go 🙌🏻 let’s catch up soon 🚁
