𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗹 𝗶𝘀 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻. Letting go is the solution! As leaders, we often grapple with the desire to control outcomes and people. This struggle doesn’t just strain our teams—it strains us. Justin Hills, what a timely post. I was just leaning deeply into this with a client of mine yesterday. Control is an myth. In our professional and personal lives. When I was a kid (punk/jerk/rebel), my parents were able to control me to a certain point, enough so that I felt when I got older, I could control others. That was a good punch in the face 🤣. I also thought I could control circumstances... that was a full-on face plant. Finally, after all the bumps and bruises I realized the myth of control. I now lean into the art of surrender. Allowing people and life to flow as they may. Responding and no longer reacting. Love the post, man. PS: Maybe the illusion of control was created by the matrix? 😉

Leadership isn’t about making everyone do exactly what you did, but to inspire them to achieve their best potential by providing guidance, support, and the tools they need to succeed on their own terms.
