Nike invented running. This is a statement I heard when I took an interest in Track and field events, specifically running. It stated that #Nike invented running to boost #sales of their sports wear. Are you fond of running, walking or Jogging? When I look at the calendar year, I tend to envision a track event similar to a sprint, a distance run such as a #marathon, relay races or steeplechase. As many of us are excited to be coming to the end of the year, we are likely to end the race, however i see it as a steeplechase not quite at the end but right at the obstacle that leads to the new track. Therefore however tempting it is to come to a complete halt or to keep running very fast. I believe it is a great time to slow down ( not stop) and allow yourself #Navigate the chase *"If you can't fly, then run. If you can't run, then walk. If you can't walk, then crawl, but whatever you do, you have to keep moving" #MartinLutherKingJr The year is coming to a close, there’s a desire in most to give up and in some to sprint through their desired 2024 goals. I suggest slowing down this allows us to take up a pace of grace in order to look back at January 2024 with gratitude and at January #2025 with #anticipation

Charlotte Tilbury Beauty 💜 #F1ACADEMY *New line idea* It would be very cool to see an F1 Academy makeup collection. 🎨 So I played around with CT's existing product colors to see what these products could potentially look like. I know, CT’s brand is dominated by beige and brown tones, but they could make room for F1 Academy’s blue-purple gradient branding. ✨ That would be euphoric ✨ In races, we see the eyes through the helmets, they sweat a lot because they put in so much effort during the race. When you combine these two facts, you can create a powerful mascara campaign. 🎯 A mascara that is sweat and water resistant and stays strong with you – just like you. 👊 🏎 The products could be named after motorsport terms and come with a fun fact card about women in motorsport history. This would be a fun way to introduce girls with motorsport and to raise more awareness that this world isn’t just for boys. ❤️ And of course, a red lipstick named after Susie Wolff would be great! (Or ''Lip-Lane'' 🤔 ) 💜 As a final step (yet) in the campaign for this line, they could donate a portion of the proceeds to the tracks for girls who can’t afford to race. Endurance. It’s not just for spandex clad triathletes and those “crazy,” enough to go the distance in long course sports like ultra marathons and adventure racing. My favorite Phil Knight story hails from a speech he gave not long after Nike launched, the iconic, “Just do it.” As the story goes, Knight asked conference attendees to stand if they like to run. About two-thirds of the room stood. With each qualifying statement, “if you run 3-4x a week,” “if you run every week rain or shine,” .. keep standing, otherwise Knight directed those standing to sit. In the end, a select few attendees remained. When people think of sport, they often think of winning or losing. A binary all or nothing construct. The message from Knight that Nike captured is times-less and just as relevant in sales and business today. It’s not about winning or losing. It’s about the commitment to show up. Day in and day out, no matter the weather or headwinds. “Just do it.” Whether it’s lacing up your running shoes, or sliding on a pair of stilettos, it’s about showing up, consistently. To me, Knight’s message is about building endurance in our pursuits. The super shoe phenomenon went into overdrive in 2017 when elite Kenyan runner Eliud Kipchoge attempted to break the two-hour marathon barrier with the aid of Nike’s first super racer, the Vaporfly Elite. He didn't reach his goal at this event, but it did send brands racing to create the fastest shoes possible. Using the latest foam technologies and springy carbon fibre plates, everyone was looking to provide unparalleled cushioning and energy return. In the seven years since, there's been a slew of innovation that has taken models past the point of super and into the ‘too super’ category, with many of them being banned from competitions thanks to new restrictions by World Athletics – the international governing organisation that regulates track and field sports. The new rules came after Kipchoge’s second and successful attempt at breaking the two-hour marathon hurdle in 2019, where he wore an even more advanced Nike shoe: a prototype of the Alphafly Next%.
