🐾 Harnessing Nature's Wisdom in #Manufacturing In a presentation several years ago, I drew an intriguing parallel between the behavior of animals in nature and the assets we manage in a manufacturing environment. 📽️ [video 👇 ] This analogy not only sparked enthusiasm but also illuminated the innovative potential of integrating advanced robotics in our inspection and maintenance processes. 🤖 As an #intrapreneur, I've realized that #storytelling isn't just a method—it's an invaluable ally in driving change and inspiration. It's about painting a vivid picture that resonates with your audience, creating a connection that encourages them to see the possibilities beyond the conventional scope. 🌟 Key Storytelling Strategies for Intrapreneurs: Relate to the Audience: Anchor your stories in experiences or concepts your audience understands. Visualize the Future: Use storytelling to create a vision of what success looks like. Invoke Emotion: Craft stories that evoke emotions and inspire action. Educative Context: Provide insights and educational elements that add value. How do you integrate #storytelling into your #intrapreneurship journey? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences! 🌱 Jürgen Securing the Future of Manufacturing: Educating Individuals, Supporting Enterprises.

Invention doesn't equal innovation. But innovation is almost always the result of lots of invention. What's the secret sauce? Invention: Make something. Innovation: Makes a dream outcome 2-10+ times more powerful, accessible, viable, or affordable to an underserved market. To get to innovation, you need to invent a lot. But it doesn't guarantee innovation. ———————————————————— Hi! I'm Caden Damiano. I'm an interaction designer who facilitates cross-functional product development workshops. But you are more likely to strike gold with a well-defined "dream outcome." If you invent for invention's sake, you might just run out of money.

#WordsILiveBy - Innovation. It’s about continuously seeking new ways to solve problems, improve processes, and create value. We often think innovation is about new inventions. It is, but it also applies to everything else—anything that creates value in a different or better way is innovation. Let’s embrace the unknown, challenge the status quo, and never stop learning. #Innovation #Growth #ForwardThinking

Lessons from two radical business innovators:Ford and Mithun Frederick Taylor, the father of industrial engineering, broke down industrial processes with scientific techniques and enhanced productivity and efficiency. Around the same time, Frank and Lillian Gilbreth worked to improve the ergonomics of work through motion efficiency in production processes. Henry Ford took the power of scientific efficiency to new heights by developing the first mass production of cars with the Model T (Tin Lizzy), characterized by rapid production, short cycle times, and standardized modeling. Ford introduced innovative techniques, such as paying more to his employees so they could afford the cars they made(waning sales thus rebounded), reducing work hours, and implementing 24/7 production with three shifts. This transformed the industry, reduced costs, and replaced horses with cars. His famous quote: “You can have it in any color as long as you have it black” In the 1990s, in a different world, Bollywood superstar Mithun Chakraborty reached the peak of stardom with "Disco Dancer." At that time stories had moved away from rural settings - content created was not catering to rural masses. When Mithun’s career waned he reinvented himself and attacked this white space: mass-producing cinema with an ingenious method. He employed a bevy of screenwriters doling out screenplays with tight turn around time. He targeted low cost movie halls in B and C-grade cities to host his movies. He bought a hotel in Ooty and he used a single setup and shot for 3-5 movies filmed together. Actors for each film waited in queue, walked in, spoke dialogue for one movie and the next set of actors walked in - all this drastically cutting production costs. Mass edits, mass music, and distribution negotiations ensured every movie had a high ROI despite low box office. His mass-produced movies were so bad that they became a joke: his movie "Goonda" (only starring not produced) at had an IMDb rating of 10 (beating "Titanic")—IIT students made the rating viral, and it became a joke/cult classic in IITs in the '90s. In present day, Taylorism finds a new meaning with BPM, process mining and task mining changing and tightening processes. While Gen AI,still in its infancy, is poised to change screenwriting, music, and editing. Movies will see a similar burst of mass production, and in the Cambrian explosion, only the good will survive. There will potentially be hundreds of vernacular niches, short forms, rapid distributions, and actors and cinema houses selling digital rights of voice, facial expressions, dialogue, and stock footage. OTT platforms will fund big-budget movies but fill content with high-quality, low-cost production content. New jobs for video makers and one-man cinema creators will potentially emerge, with many Ford and Mithun-like innovators making large-budget equivalent cinema with near-zero budgets - who knows a one man Avatar, Titatic, Bahubali and Kalki may be in the waiting.

A common myth about innovation… Innovation = building new products + tech Innovation is about: 1️⃣ Learning about your customers ↳ Identifying their jobs, pains & gains 2️⃣ Testing ideas & collecting evidence ↳ Reducing risk & uncertainty 3️⃣ Killing ideas at an early stage ↳ Only invest more time and money in ideas ↳ when you have evidence ↳ that they are going to work Follow Jinesh Hegde if you liked the post! #innovation #management #socialmedia #marketing
