When parents can’t pay rent, what can happen? It’s a question with some scary answers, especially for children. Predators take advantage of children who are in extremely vulnerable situations, offering money, food, or housing in exchange for nude photos or other sex acts. We’ve worked with many kids who want their families to stay together in their home, who find themselves having to make really difficult decisions that no child should have to make. You may not see child trafficking depicted this way in films but it’s something that we see happening all too frequently. We have got to stop this. We have to prevent child trafficking before it happens. We must address the systems that are making these children vulnerable. And when trafficking does occur, we have to help survivors heal. #love146
