Helping people make a difference with their dollars for their families and their communities

It's no secret that #Philanthropy is pretty important to me and Andrew. A lot of time, people fit their philanthropic goals in around the margins, which often means that by this time of year, the budget is tapped. Being a financial planner, no one should be surprised that this isn't how it works in our household - we have a spreadsheet where we chart out current year giving (and the tax deductible portion if any consideration was rendered from the gifts, such as member benefits) and use that to make the plan for the following year. This image is a (non-exhaustive, alphabetized) example of our table that we use to organize these gifts. How do you and your family manage your charitable giving goals? Do you use a Donor Advised Fund, Qualified Charitable Distributions, a spreadsheet, or some other means to strategically make an impact with your charitable dollars?

I LOVE this! And, thank you for being part of the impact and Foster Success family.

I love this approach! Planning makes it easier to respond to the many asks that are coming in, especially at this time of year when it feels like everyone needs help. Thank you for including Brightlane Learning in your annual plan for giving!

Julie, what a good message. Thank also for sharing how you and Andrew track your giving goals. Very squared away!
