Many marketers believe that content is an asset that appreciates over time. While that can be true, content often behaves more like fresh produce—it's valuable when it's fresh, but it can quickly lose its appeal as it ages. Content decay is a common yet under-discussed problem in SEO. It leads to your content losing rankings, authority, relevance and ultimately your audience’s trust.  In this carousel, I’ll unpack what content decay is, explore why it happens and share practical strategies to tackle it. — Found this useful? i think that it's important to remember that just like fresh produce, content has an expiration date, but with the right strategies (evergreen content..), we can prevent content decay and keep our audience engaged

I'm a strong proponent of updating your blog posts at least once a year. Even if it's just minor tweaks... There's always a way to make it more relevant to both visitors and the algorithm.

So true Jules Ignacio Canlas!!! I’ve seen content turn stale faster than milk in the summer. Keeping it fresh is the key to staying relevant and trusted....

Don't be so laser focused on creating new pieces no matter how promising it looks. Sometimes the best results come from updating existing content assets.
