Shedding light on a crucial aspect of education that often goes unnoticed - the importance of educating people on the needs of Afro Textured Hair. In a world where beauty standards are constantly evolving, it is essential to remember that every strand of hair matters. The Afro Textured Hair Education movement aims to empower individuals with the knowledge and understanding of how to care for and embrace their natural hair. This movement is not just about hair; it is about self-love, acceptance, and cultural pride. It is about breaking free from the shackles of societal norms and celebrating the beauty of diversity. For far too long, Afro Textured Hair has been marginalized and misunderstood. People of African descent have been made to feel ashamed of their natural hair, forced to conform to Eurocentric beauty standards. This lack of education and representation has led to a perpetuation of harmful stereotypes and discrimination. Join the movement with Gladys Afolayan and Jullietta Raoul. #EveryStrandMatters. Let us come together to educate, uplift, and empower one another. Let us create a world where every individual feels confident and proud of their natural hair. Let us pave the way for future generations to love themselves unapologetically. Julietta Raoul So I urge you all to join the movement by sharing your thoughts and experiences. Let us stand together in solidarity and amplify the voices that have long been silenced. Let us educate, empower, and celebrate the beauty of Afro Textured Hair. Remember, #EveryStrandMatters. Let us make a difference, one strand at a time. #NaturalHairEducation #EmbraceYourRoots #AfroTexturedHairLove #HairEquality #DiverseBeauty #CulturalPride #InclusiveEducation #HairEmpowerment #CelebrateDiversity #EducateAndEmpower

From securing hearing aid coverage for PBS employees to demanding captioning at major industry events - Ira Rubenstein is an advocate in every sense of the word. Our guest this week has shaped digital strategy at PBS, Marvel Entertainment, Sony Pictures Entertainment, and Fox Corporation- all while navigating his personal journey with hearing loss and cochlear implants. These implants spark intense debate in the deaf community, specifically around children receiving implants before they can decide for themselves. As someone who identifies as "deaf with implants" and serves as Vice Chair of Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA), Ira is working to bridge these divides while using his corporate influence to advance accessibility for everyone. Watch the full episode of The Buzz to see how Ira balances corporate leadership with community advocacy - and why it matters for everyone. https://nagish.com/thebuzz

How can we advocate for more investment and action for ear and hearing care? Ear and hearing care is not a luxury, but a necessity. It is a humanright and a public health priority. It is also a smart investment that can bring many benefits and opportunities for individuals, societies, and economies. However, ear and hearing care is often neglected and underfunded, and many people face barriers and challenges in accessing ear and hearing care services and devices. We can advocate for more investment and action for ear and hearing care by: - Raising awareness and understanding of the prevalence, causes, impacts, and solutions of hearing loss among the public and policy-makers. - Highlighting the benefits and opportunities of ear and hearing care for health, education, employment, and social development. - Demanding more resources and support for ear and hearing care from governments and civil society, and holding them accountable for their commitments and actions. - Collaborating and partnering with other stakeholders and organizations that share the same vision and goals for ear and hearing care. - Sharing and promoting best practices and innovations that can improve the access and affordability of ear and hearing care services and devices. By advocating for more investment and action for ear and hearing care, we can also improve the quality and equity of health care for everyone. We can also contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals and the Universal Health Coverage. Let's change our mindsets and make ear and hearing care a reality for all! #WorldHearingDay2024 #ChangingMindsets #humanrights #publichealth #earlyintervention #earcare #hearingloss #hearingcare #worldhearingday #hearinghealth #worldhealthorganization #awareness #hearingaids #hearingcareinvestments #sustainabledevelopmentgoals #universalhealthcoverage #accessibility #equality #hearinglossawareness For more information:https://lnkd.in/g5DckFrq

Women and younger adults experience the greatest financial impact, with income differences of €462 and €424, respectively.
