There are many components of the Coaching Actuaries platform which make it excellent for actuarial exam preparation, but my favourite must be the Earned Level system. As part of the Adapt package's practice exams, your Earned Level is a measure of your proficiency with respect to the exam material. It determines the difficulty of the questions you are presented on practice exams, and the results of your practice exams will modify your Earned Level accordingly. It's hard to describe why this system is so effective in detail without knowing what's going on under the hood. What I can attest to is that your Earned Level tunes the difficulty curve of your practice exams to perfection. It ensures that at any given moment, the questions you face are challenging enough to learn from without being insurmountable. In this sense, the Earned Level system maximizes your rate of meaningful progression, and optimizes the path to exam readiness.

I’ve realised that one of my actuarial superpowers is having the confidence to tackle any exam! I have sat and passed plenty of practical assessments over my career, but I haven’t sat a 3 hour written exam since I qualified as an actuary about 16 years ago. Yet, as I’m preparing for my written coach knowledge exam for my ACC credential at the end of this month, I’m somehow back in my “comfort zone” of study without too much effort. What superpower did the actuarial education process give you? #actuary #actuarial #superpower #coach #exam #education #study

Yes, its absolutely fine to Fail an actuarial exam. It's not a big deal given the level of difficulty. However, it is still painful to fail in an exam! So it's time to reflect back on your mistakes and make improvements for the next attempt. If you're interested I can help turn your FAIL into PASS through my Exam Counselling Program. FAILED THE THIRD TIME? OR PASSED MY FIRST ACTUARIAL EXAM IN FIRST ATTEMPT? Yesterday , even after passing my first actuarial exam (CS1) in the very first go , I totally shelled myself , just bcoz of failing another exam (CM1) for the third time. I was completely shattered and was questioning myself again and again , "Tisri baar bhi fail Khushi?" Telling and weeping to each and everyone around me , "Tisri baar bhi fail hogyi mai yrr!" Wasn't even in the sense to accept the failure. Wasn't even in the sense to enjoy the other success. Jese mene CS1 ke result ko dekha hi nahi , bas crying over and over abt CM1. I got blanked on what to do next?(regarding CM1) Lost confidence to share this out. Making the day all abt the failure and Ignoring the subject I passed. This is huge heartbreak for every second student to get failed in the same exam again and again and again. But then , My family & friends , who are always there for me , made me realised , never to subordinate success over failure , And to think abt my first ever success of this Actuarial Journey , not abt the failure. To hung up around failure could led in destroying the tiny happy moments of success. So , You don't have to lose hope and confidence in yourself. This quote is so true by "Morihei Ueshiba" ; "Failure is the key to success ; each mistake teaches us something." And Here I am , happily sharing first success of my actuarial journey!! Thanking my parents, family, friends and specially Ashnut Kothary, FIA Sir, Gunjan Goyal, AIA Maam ! This wouldn't have been possible without these lovely ppls! . . CS1 it is!✨ PS: Abhi toh maine start kiya hai!😉

Today, I've decided to put my money where my mouth is. Ever since I got into actuarial exam prep, I've made several posts about actuarial exam metrics and what it takes to pass Exam P and FM. Over time, I've learned that the biggest challenge to passing these exams is not necessarily the material, but the discipline and consistency required to stay focused. Many first time exam takers underestimate how challenging studying for actuarial exams is. There's a reason the pass rates are around 50%. Here's a secret: Passing Exam P or FM is about discipline, consistency, and good study habits. It has nothing to do with being extraordinarily talented or smart. I wholeheartedly believe this, so today, I added Pass Protection to The Actuarial Nexus. Pass Protection is a promise that you will pass your exam if you meet at least 7 of 8 reasonable, quantifiable, and automatically tracked metrics. If you meet these metrics and do not pass, you will be refunded in full and be given lifetime access to the exam you failed. This program is for students who are willing to put in the work, but may not know how to structure their study plan. It's for inexperienced exam takers who need a clear curriculum to follow. The Institute of Actuaries embarked on its mission of academic excellence with the first actuarial exams in 1850. These exams were designed to uphold high professional standards, covering critical subjects like mortality rates, compound interest, life contingencies, and annuities. This rigorous syllabus set a challenging bar, ensuring that only individuals with deep expertise entered the profession. The structure of these early exams was intentionally demanding, reflecting the seriousness of actuarial responsibilities in assessing financial risks. Originally, only individuals already working within the field could attempt the exams, emphasizing that actuaries needed both theoretical knowledge and practical experience. ➡️ Did You Know? These exams were initially open only to those already employed in actuarial roles, ensuring that IFoA-certified actuaries had hands-on experience. This blend of knowledge and practical expertise became a hallmark of the profession. #ActuarialScience #actuary #ActuarialCareer #actuarial #actuarylife #actuary12h
